Unapologetically Lauren!
It's me, light_life_love16. I've decided to start a new diary on the forum, because I am beginning a new journey as of tomorrow. I have been hovering around the 83-88Kg mark for the past five months now, and have decided to rewrite my story yet again. So i have decided to begin from this point on and wipe clean my slate. I have learnt so much from my journey so far. So much about myself. So it's time to use my head again, and move forward with new goals in mind. As of today, I weighed in at 88.8kg at the cohens clinic. Now, if you remember correctly, I spent the first four months of my cohens journey not knowing my weight results each month. I found it very inspiring to focus on my body and the other outcomes of my journey, like the feeling of wellbeing etc. I'm not going to weigh myself again until I'm feeling very hungry, giving me the indication I could be nearing refeeding time. I'm also going to stop carrying money in my wallet, and will remove my credit card this week to remove the possibility of indulging my temptation. I'm going to spend time every day focusing on me and feeding myself with positivity, meditation, visualising and dreaming of wonderful benefits coming my way. I'm going to organise my food once a week for the my work days. And Im going to not apologise for being me anymore. Im going to lesson my impact on the world to make others feel more comfortable. I'm not going to allow their opinions of me to lower my expectations, and I won't fear the amazing Lauren I will grow into any more. I will bravely face my bright future with the confidence I have inside instead of fearing people's impressions of me. I'm going to be THE BEST Lauren there can be, every second of every day. And I'm going to be so proud of myself, so determined, so strong. Nothing is going to stop me now! Ciao for now! Lauren |

Re: Unapologetically Lauren!
You can do it Lauren! Whatever happened from the past, you can take the good from it and move forward. What important is you decided to keep going from now on and focus on your goal. Sometimes, along this journey, everything seems hard, but when you overcome that situation, you'll be stronger that you've been before. So, just keep moving and you'll be surprised you have already achieved your goal!

Re: Unapologetically Lauren!
Dear Lauren,
You have proven many times over that you can do anything you want to when you put your mind to it. You have a successful career. You have a beautiful husband and family, and strong relationships with friends and family. You care deeply for your loved ones and are always there to lend a hand. You are fun and uplifting to be around and your energy is catching. You are a wonderful, nurturing mother who respects, loves and teaches her daughters with every move you make. They see you as the most beautiful person they have ever laid eyes on and their beautiful little souls are a reflection of the soul that lives in you. It is no surprise that they are both so loving, affectionate, expressive and kind, they act as they see you act. Your husband adores you and sees the best in you, no matter what you are seeing in yourself on that particular day. Turn to the mirror. See yourself. See the true you. See your blue, almond shaped eyes, see your clear skin and see your hint of a smile. See the fun loving cheeky girl who lives in there. The one who dances in her lounge room every day with her daughters, who slaps her husband on the butt when he walks past and the one who winks suggestively at her girlfriends for a laugh. She's your favourite version of yourself. She's the teenager pretending to live a grown ups life. See what you look like at 63kg. See your successful, proud, strong self. See yourself toned and tight, thin and elegant. Full of energy and a can-do attitude. In a clean house with happy healthy children and a vibrant lifestyle of activity, enjoyment, sunshine and wellbeing. See the life you lead as a working mum, an organised person with meal plans, preparation times allocated and forethought into each week ahead of time. See yourself standing in your work out gear, ready to head out for a run with your sister. Going to cross fit. Dancing, lifting weights, doing a spin class. See yourself fitter than you have ever been, wearing outfits you've always wanted to and feeling strong and supported by your body that rewards you with health and vitality. Stand up straight. Feel your muscles. Feel your core. Feel how different it is to workout with a healthy body and compare calories burnt to previous workouts. Feel relieved that your body is no longer under the pressure it was previous, that your heart and lungs don't have to work so hard anymore. See yourself in your lovely corporate work clothes that look amazing on you. See yourself in your new winter wardrobe and enjoy stoking your cupboard for a more permanent lifestyle. See yourself buying size 10 and 12 clothes and enjoying the opportunity to swap clothes and borrow from your friends. See yourself tall, fit, strong, capable, fun, active and loving. You are already all of these things. So stop hiding yourself away behind the curtains. Come out and say hi, and introduce us to the final Lauren. The Lauren that brings her best every day, that shows the world her shiny side and brings light to others. The Lauren who doesn't prescribe to the toto dieting world anymore. The Lauren who isn't afraid of the scales anymore. The Lauren who isnt afraid of temptations anymore. Or secret eating behaviours, or taking every opportunity to wet just in case it doesn't happen again. That Lauren no longer has a place here. We (mind, body, soul, spirit) do things differently now. We spend 30mins a day doing something just for us. We are in agreement that I will reach goal very soon. We work towards our goal with every moment of every day, staying active and putting in place strategies to achieve our greatness. We identify issues and we deal with them. We choose the life outlined above, with every second of the day. And I'm not going to shy away from the scales anymore. I am going to weigh in weekly. Because I want to see those results and I want to seek encouragement from both the scales and my clothes as they become looser and looser. It's been a long time at this weight and I am ready to shed it all now and become the Lauren I have always been intended to be. Tomorrow I get brave and I weigh in. It's not going to be pleasant. But it's the starting point of my exciting journey. bring it on. |

Re: Unapologetically Lauren!
Dearest Lauren - absolutely the most wonderful example of self-love I have ever read. Whilst reading your post, I actually had tears in my eyes as I say similar things to myself. The way you speak so lovingly and kindly to yourself is worth aspiring to! A positive inner mantra is key to success and you have got it down pat my dear! You have outlined your blessings in every single aspect of your life and remembering these through the tough times is what will see you overcome any challenge that is thrown your way! Loving it - absolutely loving your attitude! Andie

Wow Lauren! It makes me realize that I should stop being hard on myself and appreciate how life is soo good to me with all the blessings I have right now. Such a wonderful speech. I'd like to copy it and read it to myself everyday.
