Default Balsamic Vinegar!!! How much is allowed??

Hello to all you wise people!

I've always loved balsamic vinegar.. but seem to enjoy it even more now. I have added a drop (promise my food isn't swimming in it) or two to my meals whether breakfast or dinner.

In the recipe book, I realised there is balsamic vinegar - but it never says (allowance) nor is there a reference as to how much we should have etc. (or i simply haven't seen it)

Any ideas about balsamic vinegar you could share with me. Good, bad, only a once a day thing??

Much appreciated!

Hi Angie, my consultant told me balsamic vinegar was unlimited. I guess provided it is not an unreasonable amount you should be fine.

It is unlimited, but really... Just how much CAN you have!!!

You'd choke if you tried to have too much, I'd think!

Enjoy Angie!

I actually had it 2 meals a day during the entire diet. I cooked with it (50:50 with water) instead of using EVOO. I only used spray EVOO for my Omelet in the morning. I used it in all my salads as well. I actually like the taste of the stuff!.

Never though of it as syrupy. But if the Good Doctor says it okay, who am I to argue with what is probably the biggest & best "new" taste that I acquired while on the program.

I've been having it too, but interesting to note that different types (particularly aged) can have much higher carb/sugar content.

Any recommendations for balsamic available in Australia?

Ta,

I know this thread is a bit old, but my list says 2 tablespoons per meal, so I guess there IS a limit on it...

I've hopped on the apple cider vinegar train. Generally I use a splash which isn't really scientific measure but I'm guessing about 1 Tspn

I'm also a splasher, I only ever use it on feta and salad and don't like too much so I'm not hung up on the idea of overdoing it. Unless you're swigging, I think you're fine

The balsamic traditional vinegar can be made, but if u are serious about making a real quality vinegar with no sugar added
