Alcohol?
So... I just wanted to know BEFORE COHEN 1. How much did you drink a night? 2. What were your usual drinks? 3. How often did you go out drinking? AFTER COHEN 4. Did you go back to old drinking habits? 5. How long after refeed did you wait to have your first drink? How many did you have? Did you do the whole cheese thing beforehand? 6. Did you order the same drinks as you did before Cohen? 7. Did your alcohol tolerance decrease? By how much? 8. Did you gain weight from the alcohol? How long did it take for you to gain? Like how many nights of drinking? 9. Did you have a specific formula or food you had to take before alcohol that didn't make you gain or bloat the next day? 10. How did the first drink feel? Did you feel buzzed right away? |

Hi GB,
I never drank much pre cohens so might not be much help on that department, but to answer the quandary of how and what to drink, I took the view that alcohol is viewed by my body as pure sugar. And to drink meant I'd have to plan to prevent the insulin spike so a spot of protein pre-drinks then no sugary liquory pop tarty drinks! 1. about once every couple of months 2. red wine 3. a few times a week but didn't drink for fun after: 4. Pretty much! 5. A few weeks. Had whisky, with cheese 6. Sometimes a red, yes 7. Much the same 8. A little. Did the reset and it sorted out.Suspect the cheese platter was also to blame. 9. I have cheese and crackers. 10. Much the same.

Hi GB - I used to be a huge drinker in my 20's, but then not much in my 30's, and now in my 40's I used to buy my 6 Strongbow and drink them Friday and Saturday...and my Dr frowns at me too! 3 stubbies on two nights of the week! SIGH....I think it's because more than two on any night is 'not healthy'

Whiskey, Baileys are favs, but apple ciders or red wine are my usuals. 3. How often did you go out drinking? not often AFTER COHEN 4. Did you go back to old drinking habits? no - cider affects my sugar too much - I now only ever buy 2 on odd occasions. Mostly stick to red wine. 5. How long after refeed did you wait to have your first drink? How many did you have? Did you do the whole cheese thing beforehand? Started drinking on refeed when allowed, and a glass or three on Fri and Sat - it's not good to let wine sit in the bottle is it? lol 6. Did you order the same drinks as you did before Cohen? Tried Cider, not too good 7. Did your alcohol tolerance decrease? By how much? yep - one glass or stubbie when it used to be 3 or 4 8. Did you gain weight from the alcohol? How long did it take for you to gain? Like how many nights of drinking? One glass - no, several yes, 9. Did you have a specific formula or food you had to take before alcohol that didn't make you gain or bloat the next day? An ordinary Cohen's meal with carbs, either cheese cake dessert or cheese n crispbreads 10. How did the first drink feel? Did you feel buzzed right away? my first refeed glass of wine gave me a buzz |
