Default Adjustments to food amounts during program

Hi,

A thought occurred to me today - my program is based on blood tests when I was heavy - so, do they adjust these weight proportions during the program as you lose weight?

I'm thinking that as I shrink in size, my body does not need the same calories as it did 20, 30 or 40 pounds heavier. Will they tell me at some point in the program that my food allowance has been reduced by 5 or 10 grams? Anybody experience this in their program?

Which then gets me thinking about maintenance. Let's say I get down to my ideal weight, but then horrors I begin to put weight back on - would or could I follow the same program of 200 pound analysis versus simply being 10-15 pounds overweight?

From my understanding the ongoing blood tests help in the formulation of your personal refeed program.

If after completion you acquire some weight I was told I should resume the original plan, that this is a program for life.

A dietitian and doctor would probably calculate our nutritional needs based on a standard "Lean Body Mass" calculation, basically a calculation of our expected weight if all our "fat" (adipose tissue) was removed. If you think like that, then the amount of food needed for your body wont change that much unless we turn into a body builder and really start putting on muscle mass.
