Default Bread

Just wondering does sourdough count as normal white bread for the purposes of refeed??

I am not addicted to bread so considering only having it occasionally in maintenance. If I did have it in future though, sourdough would be my "treat" so I would like to gauge my body's reaction in refeed, if it is within the rules...

Hey gorgeous! Totally have no idea... just thought I'd give the cheffy facts though... Sourdough is started from a fermented culture that grows (usually flour, yeast, salt, sugar, water - all depends on the particular recipe) which is mixed together and kept in a jar. You 'feed' it each day! Yep! And it grows! I've actually known people who have had jars of the stuff going for over 100 years. No kidding!

Amazing bread, great for doing crutons to put shaved kangaroo on!

Hmmmmm, sorry, went off on my own tangent then...

I heard of a place in NY that is still using the same dough that they started with like 100 years ago and theyt just keep adding to it!

Sounds to me like it would qualify as normal..... (fingers crossed)....

Jlou,

I was told it had to be a plain white bread with no grains, seeds or special additives. It was to gauge your reaction to the "worst" maybe??? Didn't mention sourdough .... I think this may be one for the goddess??

Hi All
Have a question ab out the bread in refeed, when you get to have 2 or 3 slices can you have them together, that is make a sandwich or does it apply like it does for the crispbread that you need 2.5hrs between them?
I forgot to ask at the clinic and thought I would find it here but looking at the bread sections does not really tell you, someone mentioned they thought you could have them together but that is not confirmed.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Wendy
