Arrived at the office this morning to find the whole office under about 2 inches of water! No rain, no cyclone, no hurricane and no broken watermains.
We're on the 4th story as well! Two of my PCs may have bought the farm and dozen of accounting records are sopping wet (fortunately most of them are 2007 records though. A silly little water filter unit blew it's gasket and the overflow outlet didn't have a tube leading to the sink so it just poured onto the countertop in the pantry over the edge onto the floor sometime after 3pm on Saturday. Apparently the unit was worked on on Friday but it's wasn't properly reassembled by the serviceman. Hopefully we can claim from their insurance company. What a bloody mess. (This is the 2nd time this unit has been flooded and we've been here only just over a year. The first time was even worse as one of the director's thought he was a plumber and put in a t-juction in our main line coming the unit (PVC Pipe). Again, sometime after a Satureday afternoon closing the junction broke and we were under over 4 inches of water as well as the whole parking lot was flooded as well. I knew my boss was asking for trouble when he only got a cheap feng shui man when he renovated the unit after buying it about 1.5 years ago.
Not a good start to the week!
