DeeLee's Diary
How exciting - this is my first ever public diary and also the first time I have ever felt so positive about a weight loss venture. I have been overweight since I was about ten years old & I turned 40 this year. That's thirty years of being fat with only a couple of years in there that I ever felt any good about myself. Decided I wasn't going to spend the next thirty years battling the bulge & hating myself for it. Felt as though I had found the answer when I found cohens. I knew the small amounts wouldn't be an issue for me as I have been on numerous diets that have been really restrictice. Even on these restrictive eating plans in the past I couldn't lose any weight, it was so bazaar. Of course I would try really hard, have no result, give up & go on a crazy binge then repeat the whole ridiculous cycle over again. Dr Cohen's explaination makes so much sense that I related to it as soon as I heard it. Felt as though I found what I had been looking for all my life. Started my plan at the beginning of the year. New Year. New decade. New me. Cheers, Dee Last edited by DeeLee; 09-01-2010 at 01:04. |

Re: DeeLee's Diary
Thanks for the Welcome Hexi & Jenni.
Hexi, I have had a quick look at your diary when I have been roaming the forum & I must say, you have had an intersting journey - I love that you slide out a little but are now back on track. Go girl. Inspirational. It is also great to know the forum is inhabited by so many wonderfully supportive people. I picked that up straight away. And what goes around comes around - support & be supported, care & be cared about. That attitude was a really a big part of what drew me to this forum . Have had a fabulous weekend, stayed on track with my eating & am loving how easy it feels. After the first few days with a couple of headaches it hasn't been difficult at all. The hardest part for me is resisting the soft drink when it is so hot. I am drinking my quota of water but have to force myself to stop at only 1 litre of diet coke. Like one of the others girls on the list, sorry her name escapes me at the moment, I am aslo going on a cruise this year, in June & am determined to go feeling fabulous & being able to wear the clothes I want to wear - a new wardbrobe will be so good & me reward for sticking with this. Hope everyone else had a fantastic cohen's weekend. cheers, Dee |

Re: DeeLee's Diary
Day 11 & still going strong woohoo I just love this! 3.9 down - can't believe it! I know lots of people are pulling way bigger numbers than that, but I have also been reading about the variations & decided that I won't measure my success against other's losses. Every one is different & the way I see it, any loss is a good one. I'm happy as can be with my drop of 3.9 in 11 days.
Noticed there is another Dee on the forum so I will not shorten my name anymore & try to always remember to sign DeeLee not Dee or that could get confusing. cheers, DeeLee Last edited by DeeLee; 11-01-2010 at 21:13. |
