I don't eat yogurt anymore (it started causing me tummy issues), but when I was I loved to have it with stewed apple - either hot or cold. Yummmoooo.
I still make stewed apples in batches and fridge some and freezer others, quick yummy snack. But yeah, especially good for taking the edge off yogurt! I just peel and chop an apple, soften it in some boiling water on the stove. When it starts getting quite soft/the water has boiled off a bit I add in Sprite Zero (for sweetness) and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. Then keep it heating until the liquid is nearrllyy gone and apple is smooshy. Yummy!

I blend the yoghurt, some diet sprite and mango (which I've frozen in portion sizes). This makes it really cold - yum, does it for me, especially if I have it for lunch as I'm not hungry if I've had chicken for breakfast. The stewed apple sounds good but does it curdle in the yoghurt??

You do need to blend the yoghurt, coffee and diet sprite with a hand held wizz-stick/blender ... then it is creamy and delish!

Hi, most mornings i have yoghurt, my main one is green apple with cinnamon sprinkled on, add diet sprite. Put it into the micro to cook up, then mix with bar mixer & add it to youghurt. Tastes Yum. I also mash up frozen mango (allownace) & add it to youghurt.

Bushy - did you measure your allowance of fresh fruit then freeze? No frozen fruit on Cohens... unless weighed first of course.

Another way that is a bit less prep (no blending involved)
weigh your yoghurt and fruit at night. Cut it up and put it in the fridge. The juice will then come out of the fruit and you can mix it all into the yoghurt so it makes it nice and sweet. I do it with kiwifruit (and in summer, stonefruit like nectarines) but any soft fruit would work - oranges etc. This is a great way to do it for people who are struggling to get used to the taste of natural yoghurt ![]() Some people find just adding some sweetener is enough. Personally I think it is important to find a nice creamy yoghurt - not all natural yoghurts are the same and if I had not kept trying I would have given up on it. Now I enjoy it - even eat it plain if I have no fruit - and will continue with it in maintenance!

oo just a quick note i made the 'iced coffee' again for tomorrow and did it with out a blender just disolved coffee in a little hot water added yoghurt and sprite (i used a of those smoothie cup things with a lid on it) then shock it up and it has come out nice and creamy and with less mess

Tried the coffee but felt there was still a bit too much 'fizz' from the sprite. Any suggestions??? The fizzy yoghurty thang was a little disconcerting!

Put a TINY bit of salt in the sprite before adding to the yoghurt. It takes away the fizz with hardly any alteration to the taste. Hope that helps!

Or another suggestion i always use flat sprite zero (i shake the bottle and let the gas out until flat and keep in the fridge) it just easier cause doesn't fizz every where when blended or shaken so use a fork and mix till flat and bubbles are gone you get the taste and sweetness with out the fizzy-ness
