Advice please - refeed vege portion muckup
I mis-read my lunch baggie, and have under-eaten from my lunch vege portion by 25gms. Should I just add the vege portion to my dinner meal? I had been splitting the protein and vege additions evenly between my lunch and dinner meals. I am not due to eat for another 40mins.....so hopefully someone will have some advice before then..... I have emailed my consultatnt (as I saw her before I ate my lunch and had another think about the numbers), but it is almost 6pm so I doubt she is checking her emails. |

Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! |

Thanks Koh! I was hoping someone would be online to answer my plea! The extra shall be cucumber and tomato on my crackers to start with.
My consultant did say it was important to eat all my cracker and fruit allowance while on refeed (I guess until I get too full with all the extra food) so I guess it is best to eat all of the allowance, even if I have mucked it up a little. It is only day four of refeed, so hopefully it will not make much of a difference. |

Mcbell, is it part of the extra veg allowance or the standard??? I guess it doesn't really mater at this point, but I'd go ahead and eat it with the next meal.......you're already adding things in extra, so it can't stuff things up too much hey.....probably not at all in reality!!!!

Twas extra - added it in cucumber and tomato to go on my crackers.

The extra won't make an iota of difference......I'm pretty sure you're free to choose when you add in the extra aren't you???? The allowances for the extra are per day not per meal???? Or have I totally forgotten

Yeah, dunno, refeed guidelines say "extra portions are per day not per meal", but I have also read here that extra protein and veges should be split proportionally - e.g. you can add it all to one meal or split it evenly between two or three meals - I have been splitting it evenly between meals two and three, as that was how my consultant demonstrated it to me.
When I get to protein mixing time I am aiming to add to my meal one breakfast and then another one.... not really sure yet. |

Aaah glad all sorted. You did the right thing. My consultant told me that we should divide them evenly but could put a bit more in one meal over others if we so desire, so all is well in mcbellistan

Just to conclude, my lovely consultant got back to me this morning to say I should just have added it to my dinner meal - which I did of course. All good.

I thought that it didn't matter if you ate less but you weren't allowed to eat more. I might be wrong? I have just finished day 3 of refeed and I have hardly ever eaten my quota of veges while on the program. I know you don't have to eat all of your bread or crisp bread do hopefully veges is the same.
