Love this thread! For my part:
* can cross legs, and even hook one foot behind the other leg,
* worrying ache in my kidney which used to wake me up in the middle of the night is gone,
* get freezingly cold, from the inside out,
* glowing skin,
* much easier periods, much less PMS,
* saggy skin especially upper arms and thighs,
* clearer mind, even my sense of humour is sharper. I guess less sugar fogging up the system,
* prone to cold and flu,
* long, slim fingers with lots of veins on backs of hands,
* ribs! I actually have RIBS!!!
* I am quite fine boned and had totally forgotten that was the case.

I have copied and edited Marmadukes list to reflect my experiences - the first one is a surprise to me - I cross my right leg over my left knee while sitting at my desk at work - I never used to sit like this before - it even feels comfortable.

Other things I have noticed - I find wooden seats incredibly uncomfortable to sit on with my now bony bot-tom; I think my "dowagers hump" on the back of my neck has disappeared; the whole world seems bright and shiny; much more energy and enthusiasm even for doing menial chores; skin is dry and itchier.

That is about all I can think of at the moment - it will be interesting to see if I get hayfever this coming season - I only started getting it about 4 years ago, and last season was the worst one by far - hopefully it won't be so bad this time around.

My hayfever/allergies has improved since on Cohens, but they come straight back in maintenance whenever I have wine and chocolate. Dairy has never been a culprit so all else seem fine, but chokkies and vino is a definite no-no (not that it completely stops me from indulging).

Someone mentioned earlier that shaving armpits has become difficult? Where mine was challenging before, it is damn impossible now and I have resorted to waxing. Ouch!

Yes I found the whole shaving thing much harder at goal.....my armpits disappeared........i found it amazing the places you lose fat from!!!!!

I've found a new waxing lady for me and she's really really good, some kind of new less pain wax and her technique is spot on, so it minimises the discomfort......

She told me when I'm ready to do armpits she can do it relatively comfortably......she reckons if I can tolerate bikini line, then arm pits no sweat.........pardon the pun!!!!

I'm not brave enough to yet, but also don't need to yet either.....

Too true Collie. But we've given birth (some of us more times than others ), and like you mentioned, we've waxed our lady bits - and this is nothing near as painful!

Oh yes, and I had to resize my wedding ring before I started refeed. I didn't want something too permanent, so my jeweller added these 2 little balls - it's surprisingly comfortable.

Following Kohs advice I am here to answer my own question!! LOL!!

Yes...your hayfever did disappear old EJNZ, you haven't even suffered one watery eye or itching nose!!

I will add my other physical changes:

* No acne now...not even the slightest bit
* Extreme ease to crouch down, or sit in a kneeling position. Before my legs were so tight with fat I couldn't do this without my skin feeling like sausage cases!! LOL!
* Clearer eyes
* No mucousy throat in the morning (sorry that was a bit gross...but definitely gone now)
* Bounce out of bed in the mornings...actually find myself trying to stay in bed longer but can't (this is complete opposite of how my mornings started before Cohens)
* Lots more energy
* No brain fog
* More motivation to get things done
* HIP BONES!!!!!!!
* Gap between tops of thighs when feet together...this is the best "side effect" of them all!

NO MORE CLINICAL DEPRESSION AND FREE OF MEDICATIONS.

Thanks, Koh, for inviting me to share in this thread. Here's my experience....

First time I did cohens I didn't "finish" as such due to a number of factors I've written about in my diary I think. However, I did succeed in one huge way (well, aside from the obvious.... Weight loss!!). During the years prior to cohens, I had been on numerous anti depressants along with anti anxiety medications to assist in what was diagnosed as a major depressive disorder.

Now. This had developed to the point that my parents were paying in excess of $700 per week (for an hour visit) to see the top Psychiatrist in the South Island of NZ. He wasn't a counsellor, that's a psychologist. This guy PURELY worked on the medications. He used to take blood tests regularly to check my hormone etc levels and alter, try other combos with drugs accordingly. Well, once I started cohens he was astounded. To the point he had to start withdrawing the medications quite quickly until I required no more. I went from majorly depressed to hormonely balanced and my moods were fine, scarily so!! (Ask my family... They were waiting for things to go pear shaped yet again but 12-18 months later it STILL hasn't happened) . This doctor could have continued "treating" me, I would have kept going and my parents kept paying because I was desperate. However he forced me to stop going and said his care was 100% unneeded because I had sorted my hormonal imbalance out with food and only food.

I've never taken another medication again. Only the Dr C vitamins for me now. This is a true story and one I am so proud of.

Thank you Doctor Cohen.

I'm so happy I came across this thread...such inspiration to keep going. I have already noticed some changes - my right knee doesn't pain and last night during my weekly exercise I could actually kneel on it without keeling over (that's how painful it was)

I lifted a 10kg cat sand bag and was amazed at how heavy it was. I've lost that and I have 8 more to go, and I'll get there.

Just been reading through this thread and am amazed at some of the changes..... I have just completed 4 weeks on Cohen's (and am 12.5 kilos down) and can say the folllowing:
My snoring has reduced considerably
I can fit the seatbelt easier
My bra fits easier
I am walking with more ease
Breathing easier
Only had 1 headache (and that was in the first week) - I used to get headaches very frequently!

Only 3 weeks in.....clear skin, no mucus in morning in throat (used to get up and hark it up), hair less oily, skin now has a healthy flush to it (just a tinge of pink underneath instead of dull grey).

And I don't know what this is but i hope someone else may notice - whilst i haven't lost much weight yet, I feel that the 'consistency' of my fat has started to change, like it's in dissolve mode or something......the fatty areas (particularly hip / belly / leg fat) just seem to feel like a softer sort of fat...maybe it's my body getting ready to break it down, idk, but definitely feels different. Have also noticed these areas have some 'banding' of cellulite / fat now, now which is probably the same thing happening. Sounds bizarre. o.o

Not bizarre at all... The fat is packed less tightly into the cells so they feel more like a balloon whose air is slowly escaping. Great feeling and a definite indication of success!

Unfortunately with fat cells we never actually lose them, they shrink but never disappear altogether, they're just waiting to be refilled again in times of deprivation. That's why it's so important to continue with low fat products once you're finished.

Well done in all the other changes

Here's one! I used to have 3 chin hairs that I'd pluck weekly. I now have one which grows monthly. Hormone balance?

Great thread idea!
I have noticed a massive reduction in aches and pains in hips,
I can get straight out of bed in the morning with out doing an injury to myself,
My feet dont get tired just from holding me up for the day,
I think I was startiing to have some kind of sleep apnoea, I would wake suddenly as I was just falling to sleep and feel like I couldnt breathe! ALL GONE!!!
Digestive problems almost all gone
Constipation
Fear and worry that I was going to have a heart attack or worse if I didnt lose weight !! GONE!!!
Doing everything from going to the toilet, getting up and down, playing with the kids! Picking up after the kids is easier!! And I am only a thirdish of the way there! Bring IT ON!!!

I can wear skirts without bike pant britches underneath, my skin is heaps clearer, I have facial wrinkles , my hair is thining at the moment, my watch strap needs to be taken in again, I can wear a belt for the first time in probably 15 years, my boss did a double take not recognising me (well he is male, gay and self absorbed so not surprising he probably hadn't even looked at me lately!), my husband tries to get me in the bedroom when ever he can! thats enough sharing!.

Weirdly though, the last three Mondays around the same time, I have developed a huge headache - won't budge with Panadol, peppermint oil, or (strangely coffee). Its making me sad. Least its not a migraine though (they have got heaps better). Oh for a handful of Neurophen.
