Other: Veal Scallopini
Main Protein OtherRecipe Name: Veal ScallopiniRecipe Description Quick and easy, can be used with chicken, or even beef as well. I know there seems to be a lot of steps, but it is actually quite easy and very tasty. I sometimes do the meat ahead of time, up to the coating in crumbs step and throw it back in the fridge until I need it.Ingredients veal, chicken, or beefInstructions 1. Re: Other: Veal Scallopini
I tried something very similar the other day. I added 2 teaspoons of psyllium husks to the cracker crumbs and added enough water to make it a little more sticky. It clung to the meat really well and meant I could save my mayo for the dressing. It made a really good crust that kept the meat inside moist!

Re: Other: Veal Scallopini
LD - it only seems fancy but really, it's not. Definitely is a treat to eat though, especially if you use veal. So tender!
Dezzy, I am still waiting on the clinic's response as to whether or not I can use psyllium... It wasn't mentioned in my plan, and since the chili flakes snafu, I want to be sure first... |

Re: Other: Veal Scallopini
I'm not going to lie... I have never had veal.
Does it taste strong? I am always scared new things will be too strong. Or is it just like beef but more tender?

Re: Other: Veal Scallopini
Actually, it looks like pale beef, tastes milder than beef, but with a beefy quality, and very, very tender. If you life beef, you will like veal.
