How do you cook Bok Choy?
How long does it keep?

I'm doing this! Start date 11th June 2013 Got close to goal then FINALLY fell pregnant after 3 IVF rounds! Lost 17kgs in 2013 Had baby girl July 2014 Back again March 2017 to lose 20kgs Really want to be lucky enough for IVF to work again so come at me Cohens! |

I find it keeps really well in the vege crisper part of your fridge (drawers as I call them).
I eat it both raw and lighted cooked - like I do with spinach - kinda let the leaves wilt if I am cooking it. The stem bit is nice and crunch raw (I slice it thinly an add to salads) or just cook the stem bit along with mushrooms, tomato, courgette in a pan, and throw the leaves in nearer the end of cooking time. I love Bok Choy and yea, it keeps very well.
I just spray some olive oil in a pan, saute for a little bit, sprinkle with garlic powder (or real garlic...but I'm lazy so I use garlic powder), salt, pepper, then put a little bit of water to "steam" it a little bit. Yummo. Pre-Cohens, I would sprinkle some sesame seed oil over it. |
