I needed something short and sweet for a personal motto...so I looked to Latin and came up with: macrecso exsequor macresco: verb. to become lean, skinny, thin exsequor: verb. to maintain, keep up, carry out, fulfill, accomplish There you have it! My real name is Jennifer. Also--Dee? did you know that the symbol for delta - Δ - is used to denote change? Pretty cool!

Hi Jennifer,
I have a had a life of change so far and look forward to even more in my future. Change is in all it's forms is good for the soul! Some of it harder than others but ultimately worthwhile. Some of my friends call me Dee-Dee so I guess I'm also double Delta???  I love that you have chosen a Latin name for what we all are working towards - achievement and maintainance of leanness! Great thread!
My username in a number of other places is baggylady. Yep, it's really how I was feeling about myself and had been for a number of years. Dumpy and frumpy. Nothing glamorous there at all. When I decided to do Cohen's I decided I needed to think more positively about myself so Soon2BSlim is where I'm headed but I've been thinking, since reading this thread, that when I get to goal I'm going to change my name again. I'm going to become Iva - as in Iva Nubod (I've a New Bod)!  And I'll be singing Do Wa Diddy ...... can't wait!In real life though, my name is Louise.

Some time back I use to go in to a chat room under the nic name of faithchip.. it was one of those I'm new to the internet user name thingy & I couldn't get either of the names I wanted.. one being Faith & the other being Chip.. Faith because of my faith in God & cause I love it as a name & Chip being because that WAS my nic name at the time (my ex husband use to call me chipmunk cheeks & then shortened it to chip).. so instead of being clever & placing numbers next to them or whatever, I just threw them both together..
ANYWAY.. in this chat room people started calling me Faith & then it changed to Faithy.. that stuck & so hence the name now.. & as most of you now know my real name is Teri.

Hi Everyone,
Mine is really simple and boring compared to some of the interesting ones I have read about - My daughters name is Jennifer and when I was a first time new mum I went on a couple of message/chat sites for mums with babies and needed a signon name so I picked Jens Mum. Now I have 2 kids but Mitch&Jens Mum isn't the same I have quite grown accustomed to the original. I also kept it here cause my daughter especially is one of my biggest watchdogs to make sure I behave but also one of my biggest fans and gives me great support & compliments. Cheers Jo

Wow I wish I was as creative as some of you .. but .. mine is a no brainer !!
Stoddy is just a shortened version of my surname .. which pretty much everyone in Darwin calls me .. even contractors at work and the CEO know me as Stoddy .. I guess when there are 3 Karen's in my work unit ... something had to give . haha. My family and friends down south all call me Kaje (pronounced cage) which is KJ ... initials of first and middle name .. just ended up blurring into one word .. so I have a diff name in Darwin to Adelaide !! Same personality though .. haha

interesting choices guys, i think mine has to be the oddest!
when i started on another weight loss forum i wanted to make sure if anyone i knew came across it they wouldnt know it was me, at this moment i dont give a **** who knows this is me, because soon to come i wont be the same person and for all i care they can see what i suffered and who i have become now..... anyways i have very very very cool slippers and they have polka dots on them so looking for a secretive username, i looked around the room and found my username on my feet i love it now though ehehe... the names laura though

My birth name is Leanne....It doesn't suit me at all ....and I never did identify with it even as a child.
My mother called me Lily as one of those sooky names that Mum's give you. And my brother called me that as he was beginning to talk.It stuck. I've also been called lots of other names , but I won't discuss those right here ! That led to using Garden Goddess as a log in because I am a mad horticulturalist. LILY

Cocopops rule
I first started using Cocopop on a Yahoo chat site in 2000. I only picked it because it sounded cute to me. I consequently met my future husband on that site and we now have a dog which we called Cocopop.

The day I joined this forum (couple of weeks before joining Cohen’s) was the day I’d had Enough! I wanted to be reminded of how I felt that day as it was a baaaaad time!!
