I haven't read the whoel thread, and at the risk of repeating things already said: SMS is dead right when he says that some people stress about food all too much. I am another example of a Cohens graduate who has hardly any problems. Since finishing refeed, I have not ever weighted anything apart from when a recipe required it, and like him, I eat biscuits and stuff, and the most my weight fluctuates is about 1.5 kilos. But what I learned from Cohens is common sense with eating. stay away from carbs, and have about half protein half veg. I still stick to that. Lots of meat, lots of veg, 50 gr (I guess, I have maybe 2 spoons of rice, or half a potato, and very seldomly some fries of which I always leave some). So I reckon even during refeed slitting up the protein and veg roughly equally over the meals makes sense. I would not become anal about it, but just a rought guide. After all, you want to learn for the rest of your life, and there it just doesn't sound healthy to immagine a meal with mostly meat, and then another with mostly veg. Hope I didn't over-read anything that was said or got it wrong cos I'm in a hurry.... Katrin |

Re: Additional Protein & Vegs concerns
I been reading some threads in Refeed where the question of splitting additional protein & veges has come up. I think it might be time to bump this thread back to the top.

Re: Additional Protein & Vegs concerns
Thank you sms for bumping this thread up.
I basically just follow what the clinic tells me to. Split the increase over my lunch and dinner as brekkie generally remains as yogurt or cheese. Also, as the clinic has pointed it out. Splitting the increase over two meals equally would allow me to better swallow the increased quantities especially more so towards the end of refeed where generally many people have problems finishing the food and the idea is to finish ALL of them. Well, I couldn't quite much have my 3rd fruit yesterday and will see how today goes. Hope to be able to finish everything but I doubt it as well. |

Re: Additional Protein & Vegs concerns
Just a note here. I don't think Singaporeans lack common sense. I think we just like precision.

Re: Additional Protein & Vegs concerns
Is that precision the reason nobody will let anybody get out of the MRT before they try to get in?

Re: Additional Protein & Vegs concerns
*bumping this up because my refeeding guidelines has the same sentence that SMS quoted:
"Always split proteins and vegetables in the same proportions in the same meals". Thanks for this SMS! |
