Well...I'm finally home...thank goodness

I felt so gross while I was away and it was so hard to stay on track since I couldn't weigh anything. But I am finally home and don't have to worry about that anymore.

Jeannie...I don't want you to count me in for the days that I was gone...there was just too much stuff that I couldn't control very well and I would like to start fresh if at all possible when you start the next cycle.

I am feeling empowered though and all in all I don't think I did too badly with my weight. I will know more tomorrow when I get on the scale.

Thanks to everyone who checked in on me...I'm Back!!!

Cindy

Well today was day 14 for me DF & day 12 for the challenge! The longest I'd gone before this was 6 days in the 1st week, so I'm pretty chuffed with myself!

Hope everyone else is going good!!!

Good for you Sharlene - wait til your 3 weeks deviation free and you are going to FEEL ON TOP OF THE WORLD!! Not to mention the fantastic weightloss results....

YOU have changed SO MUCH since you started this journey...and learnt a lot about yourself hey? and the strength and belief you do have in yourself and that is the GREATEST gift you can give yourself!

Fantastic thread guys...this is SO WORTH IT - YOU ARE SO WORTH IT don't give in to a crappy bit of food...it lasts for all of a few seconds anyway and nothing can compare with the feelings of pride and joy you can give yourself in sticking with the program

Only a couple of more days to go girls..

No worries Tinytoon and Cindy.. well done on your efforts to do what you have done so far anyhow..

AH Pandora, sorry I missed you earlier, I had just finishing replying in your thread and I thought I had done it here.. sorry.. Yes you are spot on.. even if we do feel a bit peeved off with the program and its limitations at times, it is a far worse feeling when not on the program.. At least there are some rewards like today I am wearing a blouse that I couldnt do up before.. I even went out in public with it on..

Conratulations Drexyl.. Wahooooo.. I am excited for you because now you will be losing with everyone else and not see others whiz by you..

Looking forward to giving you all your Mangos.....

Thanx Hexi for your encouragement here as well...

Hiya all,

Just popping in to say "I'M STILL IN THIS!" and "I'M STILL HERE!" I can't remember when last I had a Since Monday the 14th of April my DH has decided to follow the Cohen diet principles with me - same foods and rules, just not strict quantities. I can't begin to tell you how much this has helped me! It's so much easier not worrying about cooking two completely different meals all the time - it's fab. I feel like I'm regaining some sanity (finally)! It's just so incredible to know I CAN DO THIS! I AM DOING THIS! What a blast!

I achieved one of my big goals this week - got down to the 75kg range My next goal is to get to 9kg's to lose. Not long now.

Hi All

Well I just weighed in for the start of the challenge 94.8kg!!! And Im ready for the challenge

Is the first time I have weighed my myself at home and not sure about my scales as they said a couple of different weights but not too worry. I normally only get weighed at the clinic.

Any hints on which are the best scales to buy ? But I am not going to be jumping on every day to stressfull!

I am ready for the challenge as I have had alot of deviations in the last week and feel yuck because of it so lets go

Well, I got called away for an unexpected family crisis - & I had been going so well too - so ended up not being able to stay DF 100%. Like Cindy I couldn't weigh anything & didn't always have a Cohens option available. Back home now & in for this round.

Regards, Frannie

I am sooooo happy to give it to you Sharles, I know how frustrated you were in trying to get into that head space.. looking forward to the next lot of photos..

I have to plan ahead really well today as I have a girls get together tonight.. Haven't seen them for almost a yr or even over that time for some of them..

There will be lots of wine, no problem, I dont drink so I will be taking my diet pepsi.. Now the crackers and dips would normally be a problem so I have decided to take my final meal for the day and make it a cheese on cracker meal with salsa (cohens of course) .. I will nuke some Moz cheese on crackers before I go and break them up to nibble on for when supper comes around.. Or if it is too late and everyone is snacking I will just snack on them so I can have my 2 hrs before bed time..

Have a great 14 days ahead.. I just know that we can ALL get those Mangos next round..

Thanks heaps Jeannie!

I may have got my mango but its been a real struggle these past 3 or 4 weeks.

I stuffed myself up by taking the pill and it had a nasty effect on me - fluid retention, migraines and for the whole time ive been STARVING!!!

I thought of deviating many times but held firm and didnt - even though there were a few times when I would serve hubby dinner and have to leave the room while he ate.

One thing that has made it easier for me is that ive discovered some new herbs and spices which really jazz up my meals now. Some of their spice blends are awesome and are allowed by my clinic. They are all pure spices as well so are nice and strong so the daily allowance of 1tspn is plenty. If anyone is interested, I can PM them the name of the company.

Hope everyone has a strong and wonderful day

Nat

Hi Nat I am interested.. ANYTHING to spice it all up a bit.. I must admit that I have quite a range of salt in my pantry, just a squirt of Olive Oil with some Lake Salt or Sea Salt has been enough for me lately.. I do think the Clive of India curry doesn't pull as much punch as the other one but it is OK.. I am hooked on caulifower at the moment and have been having curried cauliflower soup with either tofu, chicken, or feta cheese.. It is actually really nice just as a vege allowance too and have your chicken on crackers.. I dont mash the cauli I just keep it in small chunks..

OH and do try mash spud the caulifower way.. it is one of Babytimes ideas.. Cauliflower (vege allowance) cooked and mashed with teaspoon of mayo... then place on top of the "spud" crumbed chicken.. it is so simple and if you flatten out your chicken breast spray it and roll it in crushed saladas (can add a little garlic powder to the saladas) it only takes a few minutes to cook and looks like heaps... One of my favourite meals.. cauliflowers are fairly cheap at the moment too.. only $3.00 for a whole one..

Have you tried some Chromium tablets Nat?.. they help with the cravings..
