I couldn't walk past THIS one tonight - yep, it's Sean again (Kiwinui) and he has JUST started on Maintenance after finishing his Plan and Refeed. And, what did he say that got my attention?

THIS :-

Well according to the website realage.com I have increased my life expectancy by six years by removing 38 kg of fat. That's an extra year of life for every month I was on the programme. If this time was a financial investment thats a return of 1100%. Who wouldn't invest in that?

What a message for those "thinking" of whether "to do, or not to do Cohens". Applies to those already DOING it, too - did you realise just HOW MUCH good this program does for you? And in ways you might not have considered.

This year, I've decided to focus on improving my fitness (by losing excess weight, and eating healthy), and also improving my spiritual well-being. I spent last year too much in self-pity, and feeling like a 'victim' but am learning now that only I can make myself feel that way - no one else. Never bothered with self-help books, or spiritual books till now.

I'm still on my journey but it feels good to be on it!

I just love it when Gems I missed earlier are "found" - here's one I found (or re-found) tonight :-

when I decided to do Cohens I made the decision to just follow the programme and see if it worked. I thought if it did - wonderful. If it didn't then I would keep on my search for what was right for my body.

I was ecstatic when it worked for me - and spectacularly - beyond my wildest dreams! I would like to encourage people to just do the programme and stop trying to question everything. If it works for you also - wonderful. If not then that is the time to question.

I also decided to put on hold everything I thought I knew about nutrition and just allow that maybe there was another way - different from what many others advocate.

Isn't THAT the truth? All of it? Go on, read it again

Shanara, that post is a gem for sure. I'm not sure how/when I missed it earlier, but then, I've been MIA now and then. I'm just SO glad it was brought to my attention tonight, so that it could be shared !!

I find it interesting that you can do all these things to help yourself, but until your subconsious is ready to let it go, all the effort is but a stepping stone to that ultimate goal. So it is definitely not a waste of time if it appears it is not working, it is but a building block to help you get to your final destination!

I love the simplicity of the words, and, at the same time, the POWER of the message !! Posted by one who has lived the "subconscious fight" situation, learned a lot, and is putting the finishing touches to her walk. At the moment, it almost seems like she is running !!

I couldn't overlook this one - the joy, wonder, good wishes to all - it's all there. And, of course, the results (they are out there waiting for all) :-

The health benefits for me to this point are obviously the weight loss but in addition to that. No breathlessness as I walk up cardiac hill to work is: less fat around the arteries. Reduction in blood pressure. Resting pulse reduced from high 80's/90's to now high 60's / 70's. Heart is not having to work as hard. Awesome. I feel alive, excited and ever so grateful to have discovered Cohens.
My measurements have reduced a total of 86.5cm. My waist going from an unhealthy 101 cm to now 75.5cm. Awesome.

I am eating everything on my refeed plan, because as mentioned, I want to see what my limits are and also, re-train myself that it is "ok" to eat - sensibly of course - in maintenance. I was not a big eater BC (before Cohen's) but was obviously doing an awful lot of stuff not good for me.
