Question CHEESE on refeed.

Is it true that we can have cheese more than 3 x week, during refeed?

I'm doing my old program and can't remember, but Jessicamo just let me know that her consultant told her this.

YAY, I hope it's true!!!!

Does anyone else know??

I am so happy to have my body, I respect it, and always treat it with love and kindness! I honour my body for all that it is, imperfections and all. The most important lesson I have learnt from my journies with Cohens, has been to re-find self-love and respect. Staying in love and respect with myself will always ensure I remainhealthy and comfortable!

Oh excellent! Thanks, Ciors!! All going pretty well, thanks. I'm struggling with the meat though and been sick with migraines a fair bit since going on cohens this time

Hi Slim,

In my recollection, limiting cheese to 3 meals a week when on Plan was only a "suggestion" and was never a fixed rule.

Some even tried cutting out ALL cheese (to try to fast track the FAST TRACK... ). Some tried to limit cheese to get over a "plateau". I guess, when desperate, try anything !!

I'd say enjoy your cheese, especially in your case where protein options are so limited. Go for it !!

My understanding is that you can't increase the cheese amount though with addition of OP?
My clinic mentioned not to have cheese until I can mix proteins! I miss cheese!!

That's a bit strange slim. Jo you can't increase the amount of cheese but you can carry on with your normal amount no worries. It did make it easier when you get to mix proteins as I did add some chicken to a salad or whatever it was. It was yum that way.

As its not the primary intention of refeed to get you to lose weight, then the 3 times a week suggestion isn't all that useful anymore either.

Koh said somewhere yesterday.......it may have been in this thread actually, that the 3 times a week for cheese isn't a hard and fast rule from the doc himself, it is only a suggestion to help keep your losses steady. And yes that's well an truly correct, confirmed by my 3 clinics in my vast experience LOL with cohens!!!

Yeah you can't inc your normal cheese amount - so say tonight for dinner, I am having cheese and adding in my extra OP as mince and veges to make some sort of spag bog with cabbage!

Thanks everyone. I ended up ringing my old clinic, and she said that cheese is NOT limited to 3 x a week, and I could also try increasing it if I wanted to instead of having New Protein.....as I personally will not be eating many of the new proteins once I finish refeed, due to going back and being vegetarian. She said to see if it made weight come on etc, as each person was different. It's been REALLY helpful to have cheese each day with my lunch as my OP, and i've been adding NP's to it or having it on the side (ones I will have once I finish).
