How do you do mussels???
I'm confused!! With mussels....I am going to add them in as NP and can't work out how to do it. I bought them raw, but they're obviously in their shells......so do I weigh them raw with shells, as you can't get the mussles out before you cook them.....OR, do I weigh them cooked, as then I can take the mussles out of the shell and weigh them? My clinic isn't answering the phone, so i'm not sure what to do! Hope someone knows.

Re: How do you do mussels???
Oh I just wrote in your diary! Yum mussels!
I ended up buying the ones in a pottle - they are in a plain marinade and cooked - but consultant said they would be fine - just to avoid any of the chilli, garlic or smoked mussels - I only have had about 5 per day anyhow! This is what I got in NZ - http://shop.countdown.co.nz/?banner=...earch%3Dmussel Otherwise if you are going to cooked them shelled - I would cook, deshell them and way what you're actually going to eat

Thank you!!
Oh, okies...well i'll cook them, shell them, then weigh, then get my husband who's a chef to do a chilli/garlic marinade for them with my veg allowance. I'm having them tonight and tomorrow
