Are you able to have flat bread (weight allowance) instead of a normal slice on refeed?

yes, you can, I could be wrong, but I think JayCee's clinic advised against bread in the mornings, I had toast with cheese and chicken for breakfast, as I thought it was better protein to have with my carbs.

I thought the same about the protein making sure the toast was with it or after it. Thanks Ciors I will have another read. I figured early in the day for bread would be better not so keen on bread at night. The other thought was if I had it in the am more space in my tummy at lunch and dinner time to add that protein and vege allowance

truly, refeed is about experimenting, as I said I had it for breakfast when I was mixing proteins, but other than that I had it mainly for lunch - with my cheese option - see how you go, if you have an adverse effect change the timing, or type. I think JayCee's clinic suggested that carbs for breakfast were not a good idea for a lot of people, but I think Collie has her slice for breaky. We are all different, so try and see how you go

Ciors you're right (again) ... that was the advice I got from my clinic. The reason given was that it is too easy to fall back onto the toast for brekky with no protein. My clinic suggested that by not having carbs at breakfast it was easier to maintain the focus on the proteins. Breakfast is the one meal I have always been able to control - I've not added carbs per se ... has that had an affect?? I honestly don't know.

And yep it's me who has my bread with brekky, it's not brekky where my sugar problems are......love my yoghurt with a coffee and piece of toast. My favourite meal of the day. Always feel like I'm getting a good start to the day when I have that.
