Pancake Day

Today is Pancake Day and hubby and I hosted it for the first time. We dropped our morning snack and lunchtime quotas to have our share. I was cook and was going great at not having any until close to a couple of hours in. I was exhausted and needed to eat something! Hubby and I both ended up having a couple each with ice-cream and strawberry topping. You cannot imagine how yum something tastes when you haven't had it for ages. The pancakes simply melted in our mouths. It was a good turn out for our first time and we raised enough funds to allow a low-income family or refugee or asylum seeker medical treatment. Hubby felt so good about helping that he wants us to do it again next year.

We did something similar at our children's school this morning too. It was lots of fun.

We had a pancake day today at my work as well Magenta, (I work for one of the Uniting Churches Nursing Homes) However lucky for me and the Biggest Loser Challenge I knocked off work 1/2 hour before they started cooking the little suckers.... I really would have struggled not to cave in with that one...

Now when are we going to see a picture of you? You have a Great Looking Family...

LOL... Not until I've lost all my excess weight, and changed my hair color to blonde (i'm a natural dark redhead but I like being blonde). I prefer to take the photos rather than to be in them!
