Default Autism diet

Hi,
I don't know if anyone else has experience with disability in particular Autism but I will ask anyway.

Has anyone had experience with autistic children and the gluten free, dairy free, soy free diet??

It is supposed to help with behaviour, anxiety and infection levels.
I am trying to gather as much information as I can in my research to decide if I should put my daughter on the diet.
I am hopeing if we do go through with it we can reduce her anxiety levels which will in turn improve her behaviour and ability to learn, it will hopefully also reduce the regularity of her throat/sinus/chest infections but I am facing the issue of sensory sensativities which means she wont eat anything more solid than a soft peice of pasta. From her current list of food she will eat the only things she will be able to eat are bananas and peas.
If you have had expereince with this diet do you have any suggestions on what I can feed her that is soft and creamy as well as GFDFSF.

On to more research and wait to see the natropath to plan for her future diet.

Thanks
Sjl

I had one of my sons on this for a while years ago and it did a lot of good. At the same we worked with him to resensitise his system homeopathically - now no problems. When he was on it I found a lot of gluten free foods - including gluten free pasta. A good health food or organic shop has lots of alternatives now - even coles and woolies in some areas are expanding their range of these foods.

Good luck
