Gotta love that!! If that doesn't improve your day not much can! I had Monday-itis today too but a compliment from my team member improved things She is so impressed she wants to try to get her sister to do the program.

yay for you, I was annoyed as when I got back to work nothing had been done all week and I was stuck picking up the pieces. Good thing was there was no time to worry about food.

And the other great thing is you will all be able to support each other. Its great being anonymous on the forum but making stacks of new friends, but I love our get togethers (only had 2 -but there will be more).

Thats way cool Gug to have a couple of ppl you know joining. Great support and Mum Chum is so right. Today I am proudly wearing some skinny hand me downs from Jlou and a top from determined28. I feel great and it is so nice knowing the scales are reducing and the clothes I am wearing will be passed on to the next person. Have a great day.

Thank Deelight and Mum Chum, I get to Brisbane a few times a year for training, I am really hoping we could arrange a meet up for one of those trip, that would be brilliant. Isn't it funny how excited we get about wearing second hand clothes hehe, I love it.

Having a great day today, I don't know what has happened in the week I was on leave, maybe it is because I am wearing clothes that fit me well, but I have had that many up and down looks today, I really thought that either I had something hanging out that shouldn't be or I had food or something down my front, but nope, none of the above. Ordinarily those sorts of looks annoy me, but now, it is fun Actually the shirt I am wearing to work today is very flattering, it is white with fine black/grey, vertical stripes just below the bust and on the bust the fabric is horizontal and diagonal, so the vertical stripes make the torso look slender and the horizontal/diagonal strips enhance the assets and they certainly need enhancing now. It has really cute little black buttons and 3/4 sleeves. I like it! And if I didn't have hips the size 14 black pants I have on would be on the floor hehe. Although they are a Millers brand and I have always found them to be generous sizing. Might need to make a trip to Vinnies this week.

Today is my official measurements day, I am so hopeless at that, I had my bust, hips and thigh all 1 cm more than last week, now I know that isn't the case cause I am wearing clothes that were too tight last week. If I had to rely on weekly measurements and only weighing monthly I would go nutz.

Anyhoo, lunchtime is almost over, better run off to fill my water bottle and get stuck back into it.

Hey that top does sound nice, Giddy!

Sounds like it really accentuates certain assets

re: the looks you're getting.
I have been coping them too... and I am not sure how I feel about them. They still make me feel a bit self conscious... *sigh

Mmm, just keep going by what your clothes are telling you! They know better than any other tape measure anyway!

Hey GUG - you have to let us know when you are coming to Brisbane- it would be awesome to organise a coffee / tea / lunch, especially now we know the chef at Bulimba DOES do Cohens cooking - we just need to give them our weights.

Also need a bit of notice if possible so we can all keep the time free.

Keep going by the fit of the clothes rather than measurements - obviously something is working for you. Happy losing!!

Hey GUG - you might have to rein it in at work

Great going. People at work are noticing my "new" suits this week which is pretty cool.

Really hope you can meet up with us in Brisbane. Are you usually in the city for your training? I work in town so always up for a coffee

hey lil_doll, I used to find those sorts of looks insulting, now I know it is because people are stunned by what I have achieved, even if the looks are of distain which as you all would know you get that b*tchy element in all office environments. I take those as the biggest compliments hehe.

Mum Chum and jlou, I usually have a fair amount of notice when I am going to Brisbane, usually for training and some times just for a work "love in". All training is usually conducted in the city and I either stay at the Royal Albert or the Rendezvous. I would really love to meet up, so I will let you know next time I am going to be there.

Hey GUG,

Oooh, I meant 'other' types of looks... if you catch my drift... hehe

But the looks you are talking about I know of as well... And like you, they are the biggest compliments of all and sometimes those make me stand just a little taller

Hope your day is treating you well!

people dont beleive that fat people have any will power so it comes as a shock to them when we succeed in anything- work , love, weightloss
remember- noone can make you do say think or feel anything you dont want to- you are the controller of your emotions
ignore them all and live your life as you choose

Up and down looks - they annoy me too! But then again, I get annoyed at attention from men so that's just me. But hooray on doing so well so far! It feels like you just started a while ago, and now you've dropped 30.9 kg?? No wonder you're getting stares!

Thanks Mark, I couldn't agree more, I am a very determined and strong willed person when I have my sights set on a goal, I become very bloody minded about it. I am in that mode now, no stopping me. But as for controlling emotions I am not very good at that. But as they say, 'fake it until you make it!'

Hey littlemiss, the up and down looks are ok from men as long as they are aware there is a look but don't touch policy attached to it. But I was getting these looks from both males and females, same thing today.

Yes Gremlin Mark is a man of great wisdom hehe.

I was totally gutted today, we only get fresh fruit and vegies twice a week and the trucks were held up with the floods in the south and south west. Finally got a truck through this morning and no pink lady apples, I can't live without my pink lady apples, I have one every single day for morning tea. Grrrr, don't know what to have now.

I had a cheese and tomato toasty (salada) for lunch and a lovely salad and cheese on the side. OMG so yummy, but I ate it far too fast , I know that is very naughty, but it was sooooo good. I only allow myself to have it once a week cause it messes with my bowels too much, but I could eat it every day.

Got my nails acrylic nails filled today and as a treat I got a very cute little pink diamonte on the french tip of my left ring finger. I like it hehe.

Hi GUG

Bad news all around - I fear Pink ladies are coming to an end generally - almost impossible for me to get here for at least a week and the ones I have got haven't been the greatest. I am switching to gala and hoping I get used to them....!!! My apples are my sanity on Cohens!

Hey Giddy!

Loving the sound of your determination right!! And yep I am an apple girl too! I was a BIG fan of golden delicious in Canada, OMG, they were SO good... waaay better, crispier and sweeter than they are here... mmm, they were SO good. I tried one as soon as I got back to melbourne and it was almost inedible... soft and just tasteless... I am onto the galas at the moment and they haven't been too bad

Love the sound of your nails too!!!

Funny, I actually spotted a ladies hand in her car while in traffic, and she had acrylics and french tips just last night, and I was thinking 'mmm'... I haven't had french tips in SO long! I always used to get acrylics and have them all fancied up, but I just couldn't justify it any more at the time (I was working at a market on the weekend and would ALWAYS wind up with a broken nail by the end of it, grr)... but I have now managed to grow some decent-ish nails and wouldn't mind getting something fancy done

Thanks for the inspiration!

xoxo

Hey speaking of nails, I was noticing the other day that mine are in better condition than they have been since I was pregnant (when they actually grew for the first time in my life). Usually mine split and break but they are actually getting some length to them. I wondered if it is a Cohens thing or if it is from all the face cream I have been using that the moisturisers are benefitting my hands too....

Might start a thread on this....
