Notable Quotes - various authors
Other than the fact that, for those who don't know, I own the forum so it'd be a little difficult for me to leave without it all going south, I just wanted to say that DON'T WORRY, I have absolutely no plans to leave. I plan to annoy you all for ages yet. I love this forum. I love the energy here, the people, and the fact that (I believe) it's helping people. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve in starting it. I'm really proud of the forum, and I have absolutely no intention of leaving. hope that allays some fears. asy Link: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=106580&postcount=207

SassyK - All I want to do is give that girl a hug...
I was at my aunt and uncle's house yesterday and was flicking through their online photo collection of my cousin's wedding in January. I started looking back through some of the older photos and stumbled across exactly what I've been looking for.... me at my absolute heaviest (around 165kg).
I couldn't believe it when I saw the photo. I don't even recognise myself, even though it was a mere four or so years ago. All I want to do is give that girl a hug and whisper in her ear that there is an answer, and she doesn't have to feel so depressed, repressed, full of self-loathing, self-conscious and hopeless for the rest of her life. Anyway, here it is... I've left my cousin in the shot (he's a very average sized guy) and also put in one from my 95kg photo collection for a bit of comparison. What a reality check! Notable Quotes...
Here's a number of quotes that I think deserve a place in Notable Quotes (MY bolds) :-
This was just amazing.... to realise the freedom that I have given myself by completing this journey. Kannadew http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpos...&postcount=264 *A positive attitude is contagious but don't wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier.* from Time4Me (Barb's) sig I've had some health problems that I've been happy to use as an excuse for way too long. Now that I'm doing Cohen's I'm losing weight despite these medical problems still existing. Funny that! Loulou (Lucylou) in Tee’s Diary !!! A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words from Faithy’s diary !!!! Even if you HAVE the refeed, and it's been ordered when you hit your goal weight you should NOT start until you are HUNGRY. Not just once, but two or three days in a row, waking up SO hungry that the cat's not safe! You should be eyeing off small children in prams at the supermarket wondering which sauce goes best. You should be gnawing at furniture in the morning when you get up. Asy re WHEN to start refeed…. from this thread:- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5359 This program has changed my life and I have a sense of freedom about myself and my future that I HAVE NEVER HAD before. I so want you to have that! Kannadew to a new reader I'm always on the lookout for more "Notable Quotes" - so DO let me know when you happen across any. Go to the "stickies" area on this forum, and post a reply (with a link if possible) Koh

Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! Last edited by Kohinoor; 14-09-2008 at 19:10. |
