Welcome to the forum, Trueme! Glad to hear that you got through the detox stage without hassles! I'm sure you'll be done and dusted in no time!
You might want to get yourself a ticker, it is such a nice and easy way for yourself and everyone else to see your progress! The instructions are here:

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3484

Good luck! I look forward to hearing more about your journey!

Angry all well

Hi,

I finally stole 5 minutes to get back on here. I am amazed by this program and what it is already doing for me ..... well, let me start some time back.

I might not be the "typical" Cohen client, as I am not expereicned in all kinds of diets etc... I have to admitt that I have always been on the "more solid" side, with some overweight, but within acceptale limits (if there are any acceptable limits ??? hmmm). Well, I am almost 44 and for the past 10 years I have been putting on weight slowly and surely, about 1.5 kg a year and haven't been able to get it off. Doing sports, eating healthy etc. ... helps me to loose 2 kg or so, but it comes back faster than the blink of an eye .... so slowly but surely I have grown fat !!! And I am tired of it, nice cloths don't fit, I get out of breath in no time and I look and feel fat..... enough is enough. I know 3 peolpe in my wider circel of friends that have lost enourmous amounts of weight and kept it off for the past 12 months, that caught my eye. I did'n want to just join the group of eternal dieters ..... looked around a bit and went to a COhen's info session and that absolutely convinct me, it makes sense to me and I wanted to think about it. Got heaps of info from everywhere and decided to join.
First I had a few days where I ate much of unhealthy foods (ice cream, cakes) etc (whcih I normally limit), just because I thought I will miss out on them for a while. Then I realised that this was absolutely stupid and I wanted to prepare myself for Cohens. I had to wait for a full week to get blood test done and then the program and during that week I found advise on this website and started a Pre-Cohen diet, cutting out carbs and milk etc .... but not limiting the food intake in terms of weight. I had about 3 days of headaches and was hungry and grumpy (lost 1.5 kg)..... but was very keen to start on the real program.
When I finally started the real program it all went so much better than I thought, no headaches, no gravings, I just felt good.
Day 4 and 5 were a bit of a challenge with only a bit of a hungry feeling, but very tired and exhausted and some sweating, out of the blue. The last 2 days have been better, no hunger, but I am still very tired and exhaused. Hope that this will improve.
I sllep exceptionally well every night and I feel light in my stomach. Surprisingly I have lost only 2 cm in my measurements, but I know it will get more.
I am excited about this journey that I am on and I have the goal to get were I want to be in 4 1/2 month (because I have an overseas trip coming up and it would be hard to be on Cohens then).

I am looking forward to hearing more about all of you out there.

Going to bed now, had a busy and social Easter and stuck to my program 100 %, I am proud.

I have no doubt that you will be done and dusted by the time you go on your cruise, Trueme! As long as you stick to the program, you will zip through the kilos and be looking and feeling slim and fabulous!
Stay strong and keep smiling!

couldn't resist the temptation to weigh myself (they recommend you don't) ..... put I put the scales away now.... but results are good 2.3 kg in 1 week ! wow. I am happy... because cm measurements were disappointing !

You can find more info on all the challenges that are running here:

http://newyouforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=56

The waterwise and the mango challenges are the 'easy ones', because all they really require is for you to follow the program! And they're great to keep you motivated!

Hi Trueme,
I had about the same amount of weight to lose as you and i started on the 18th of march, and now i am proud to say, i have only about 4.7 to go. I have been 100% focused on this and it has paid off for me, not one deviation !! So you will do just fine i am sure.
Good luck and look forward to a much slimmer you in a no time at all.
Cheers
Col

Hi trueme

Thought it was time I popped in to say hi. Look at you rocking down the ticker. Well done. Might not be much happening but you are shrinking!

Think the four hour thing counts more as an oopsie rather than a deviation. You sound very motivated and i think you have a really good chance of being on maintenance before your trip.

Hope you found the challenges - sign up and have a bit of fun.

Shanara

Hi True me,

I just wanted to say, don't make the mistake of comparing yourself to others. For me, I'd have LOVED to be able to run as fast as most others - but that was never me. I got over it, and learned to appreciate me as ME !!

You're doing your level best for YOU - and that is to be applauded. 7+Kgs in around a month is a really good number - some may do better, some may not. Doesn't matter - in the end, this is your race, and, so long as you finish, YOU are a winner.....

BELIEVE IT !! (Ask anyone on here)

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!
