Congrats Pandora,

You are amazing and the support you provide on this forum is fantastic. I used to be at the gym 6 days a week prior to Cohens, I miss the buss and look forward to going back when I get to goal. Isn't it funny that we don't need to work out like a horse to actually loose the weight, all we have to do is follow the food plan and watch the body melt away the fat!

Good luck and God bless!

Ditto Pandora!
You've done an awesome job, both losing weight & providing positive support to everyone (whether they appreciate it or not, their problem, not yours!)
I only hope I can be as strong & focused as you have been, thanx again for the motivation ( & inspiration! )

Thanks guys for all the LUV from those of you who wrote and from those of you who didnt!! Are we all having a fabulous Cohen weekend? I have been mega busy, social stuff wall to wall, friday eve, all day Sat, then sat eve then church today, now people coming for dinner, phew no time for my daily forum fix! Might have to take a leaf out of Asy's book and get on during the night!

Quick personal update as i mentioned a day or 2 ago i had some new things happening. Reason for boring you with the details = it will reduce my time on here for approx 4 weeks. Boo hoo (that was a meltdown, not a deviation! deviations have been less likely now that i am officially BEYOND the program ).

So number one is = i have 4 weeks full-time work from tomorrow
numer two is = that means my gym obsession will now have to be pushed into the evenings
number three is = have some family / immigration / negotiation issues to take priority
number four is = blah blah blah

Anyway, i will only have approx 15 mins every weekday for a quick check-in and maybe an hour on the weekend 2 days. That means i will get to keep up with PROGRESS for all my forum buddies but may not be making a lot of comments (who needs me anyway, there are so many TRUE EXPERTS on here now!!). I do intend to log on every day as i believe this time immediately AFTER refeed is a crucial and vital time to stay in touch and cement the good work already accomplished . Just like to be clear and up front and havent "disappeared". Lots of love to you all, keep doing it (whatever IT is) if it is working, thats the main game around here! Pandora

Hi pandora,

Just popping in to see how you are doing and as I can see you are shining as normal. 4 weeks full time, plus gym plus life - you will be a busy lady.
I hope you can get half day off on the 12th for our catch up.

Love ya
Daisy

Hi everyone visiting my BEYOND diary! I have a strong impulse to do a 12 week body transformation challenge - see the website at www.sportzblitz.net. My original jelly belly BEFORE photo in the photos section was taken about 2 years ago to enter this competition but i never got past the first week back then ! Now if i go ahead, my new BEFORE photo would be in the same bikini but with me 16kg + lighter! So why would i bother?

I am now back at the gym, loving it and keen to prove a point. As you will see when i post my AFTER cohens photo this weekend (yes in the bikini!) - most women even 10 years younger than me, would be more than happy with the end result. BUT, i want the toned, buffed, scuffed, sculpted look WITHOUT surgery and thought, why not rise to the occasion of a challenge like this. 12 weeks of all cohen friendly optimum nutrition, up to 6 small meals a day and 10 hours gym a week. So it is of course no longer about weight loss for me but more about weight maitenance whilst dropping body fat percentage! Runs approx same time frame as BL08. It would also balance out my "eating for life" nutrition and put to the test the Cohen Lifestyle guidelines etc. Who knows, i might even win the Winner of the Month prize!

I spoke to a personal trainer today (gorgeous young woman around 26 years old, witht he 6 pack abs etc - she has trained Iron Men in QLD before) and i plan to train with her once a week (as well as do classes, gym etc) and do the numbers, scales, fat %, measurements etc once a week with her, together with a food diary. So i WONT be on a body builders program as "they" do for competition, just a really healthy eating program based on the foods Dr Cohen recommends etc! I feel a wee bit excited about it! Something NEW for me to focus towards. Pandora

Well Pandora if anyone can do it you can... yes give it ago.. cant wait to see the bikini shots.. When you are working out make sure you keep a distance between your neck and head.. you know how some of these guys seem to lose their necks, and you dont want to do that.. although you did say that you are not body building just wanting to drop some more body fat... GO GIRL....

Aha Jeannie! You are on to me! Honestly, this weekend has been so seriously busy havent had time to strip off and don the bikini YET! When you do BEFORE photos for a mag comp, you need to have a copy of the daily newspaper to prove that was you on that date etc! So maybe some time this week i can make it happen! Thanks for "noticing"

Ha ha ha, sorry to disappoint you Jeannie but i am still SKINNY AS!!! Bikini shot was MEANT to be yesterday, but my life is incredibly busy at the moment! And i have to put the bikini ON and then get my 11 year old Pandora to take the pics! So might not be until NEXT weekend!

But then I have a conferance all day Saturday and a 65th lunch birthday, all day party on Sunday, so may even be 2 weeks! But i ama likin what i see in the mirror so, since no one else in the world cares (but you!!! ) posting my bikini shot on here is the only chance i have of praise !

Wont be doing the BodyBlitz comp now as i KNOW i wouldnt like my bikini shot in a magazine for anyone to see (as opposed to "on the forum" at least it is limited to people interested in Cohens)! I do however intend to start a thread on here one of these days about

the pros and cons of surgery (as in tummy tuck, lipo etc) in comparison to exercise alone after weight loss

I did PM Sharon (LOSING) re this delicate subject last week to see if she would be okay with the idea as i in no way wanted to take away from her decision to go ahead with surgery and certainly did not want to be not supporting her decision. She thinks it is a wonderful idea and has even kindly offered to post her before and after shots so that others (perhaps for lack of funds etc) can make a more "informed" decision.

Hey listen Jeannie, i am this weight for life, i love the attention I get too much to even gain an OUNCE! Back then at 69kg last August and at 53 years old i was INVISIBLE! Aha, now, i am constantly being asked "how did you DO that?" !! And younger people who used to ignore me in company, now they see me! Go figure!!

If it gets too hard to pin my daughter down at the same time as me and the bikini, i can always get you to take the shot!!

hey Pandora

just wanted to check if it's ok if I use something you said to shell as a quote, I hope you don't mind, but it's gold, and it's a good reminder to us all why we are on this journey, and also the reason that you now look hot in a bikini. I assumed yes, and already put it in my sig.

Go on, do the bodyblitz comp, they'll be demanding to see your birth certificate when you reveal how young you are. You could easily put a lot of women 20 years less old than you to shame (myself included). If you don't do it, I'll have to do it, and that will throw a spanner in my baby plans. Dammit, I deserve to be hot for longer than it takes to get pregnant, I've just spent the last 15 years unhappy about being fat. Hey, if you can have a bub at 42, then I can probably have one at 40. That gives me 5 years of hotness.

sorry, that wasn't meant to turn into a rant about me

Thought i had better DUST off my beyond refeed diary before it disappears for ever!

Following a comment in the show pony thread, special thanks to SMS for your "concern" and comment re "anorexics cant see how slim they are etc" - no worries there for me! Yesterday was my daughters 12th birthday and we had .....

Macdonalds for breakfast (her choice@!) and i managed to order and EAT a bacon and egg Mcmuffin! (had my calorie/carb/fat guide with me!)
Lunch was out at the shopping mall and i had a lamb yiros = WITHOUT the bread bit!!! (as i had bread for breaky etc!) so totally YUMMY !
Dinner was OUT again and i had a wrm chicken salad with 2 glasses champers, no cake for me but i did have some dark chocolate covered goji berries, so yum! A bit like a cherry ripe !

And the best bit of all, that you can all look forward to VERY VERY soon, drumroll ........ i didnt even weigh in Sat or Sun a.m. that is 2 firsts - i have weighed in EVERY morning for the past 6 + months since last August!! Oh what a feeling to ignore those scales for a change, such freedom !

Odd thing happened at church today tho, i compared myself to our tall, slim, elegant pastors wife (34 yr old) and said "i know i am nowhere near as slim as she is" and the 3 women i was talking to all said, what??? you ARE!! Still, i dont see it, so SMS, you have a point - we must all watch out for that distorted self image and not overdo the goal etc! I still intend to do the bikini shot AFTER my 12 wks of gyming etc is up - so around 8 more weeks to go till the big reveal ! lots of love to all who visit me today and all who dont !

Pandora,

I'm just glad you took the "concern" in the vein it was meant to be. After a period of time our minds eye can play tricks on us that it did when we were gaining the weight. Glad you daughter's b'day party was a big success. My daughter just asked me not 30 minutes ago if there were any Cohen's friendly restaurants in Singapore as it's her birthday on the 15th. I told her not to worry as I can always take it with me, no problems.

We are still waiting on pics though!
