Default A Culinary Question for all you Jamie Oliver's Out There!

Just a quick question about a soup recipe?

Is it possible to make a creamy mushroom & feta soup, like the cauliflower & feta one, but with mushrooms instead?

Not sure if it would work, sounds nice, so wanted to check with all you kitchen wizz's if you think it's do-able?

Look forward to your replies!!

Cya from Sharlene

Sharlene,

I have made one thats half and half cauli and mushroom and I liked it! I have also done cauliflower and fresh asparagus and Zuccini and mushroom. It should be OK, the half and half one was.

Not that I am a great cook but I rekon it would be worth a try......maybe boil the mushrooms and then use your hand blender with the feta added in

Hey Sharlene,

You could make a creamy mushroom soup by slicing up your mushroom allowance and frying if off with a little garlic and onion (or spring onion).

Add a little water just enough to cover the mushrooms, then add a crushed up cracker or two, and boil for a couple minutes.

To get the creaminess, just stir your mayo allowance into it just as you are serving.

With the feta, I would probably crumble that over the top, rather than melting it thru the soup.

Hope this helps,

Nat
