Default Is bread considered a carb on maintenance?

Just wondering...in maintenance when it refers to 2 serves of carbs per day preferably in meal 2 or 3...does this mean

2 serves of say pumpkin, rice, pasta etc and NO BREAD or CRACKERS
OR

does this mean our crackers/bread per day PLUS the 2 serve of carbs eg rice, pasta?

Hi Hexi,
I would consider bread as a serve of carbs.
I would not count in the crackers as you can have them on plan or in the 48hrs carb free part.

Ok clarification here from the clinic was

We don't count the bread/crackers as the 'carb serve...so we have our crackers/bread plus 2 serves of carbs eg: 100gms of rice/pumpkin etc although each and every person is different so we keep an eye on the weight

Oh,
So that is 2 slices of bread + 100g of say pasta or rice?
If you are to limit that to once a day, that is a fair amount!!

No I take it as - bread/crackers is spread throughout the day - the 'carb' serve of potato/rice/beans/pumpkin is the one you have at meal 2 or 3
