Self Esteem
Self esteem is influenced by media, childhood, personlity traits, life experiences and messages from others Faulty thinking patterns can diminish self esteem including compring ourselves with others, rating our worth based on 'achievements', overgeneralising, labelling ourselves or excessive need for approval Healthy self esteem is maintained through self acceptance, which means accepting our perceived flaws without labelling ourselves as defective and being flexible that not everyone must be like us Common sysmptoms of poor self esteem include the need to please or impress others and to avoid self-disclosure and honest communication. These can be effectively challenged via behavioural disputing Setting and working towards realistic goals can help build self esteem , being honest and assertive From the book and author: Changing your thinking - Sarah Elderman

Are these quotes taken from the latest book you are reading? Or are they from your specialist.
If from a bood, you should quote them and give credit to the author to be on the safe side. Or paraphrase them if they are from the specialist. Interesting bits of info though.....
