Thanks everyone for your replies and encouragement. We all need a push and a prod along the way and right now I needed one.

Yesterday I managed for the first time to drink 2 1/2 litres of water, along with my teas. Seemed the more I drank the more I wanted to drink. Actually stopped myself at 10pm from having another huge drink or else I'd get no sleep. Bit of a catch 22 isn't it?

This morning I'd dropped 400g, that's the biggest drop I've had. So today's push is another 2 1/2 litres at least!! We have a dinner tonight to attend so another challenge. I'll be the DD so soda water for me and pick the best choice from menu I can.

Had a big deviation sunday then Monday was getting hunger rumbles only 1 hour after breakfast. Had chromium tablets and water and that fixed those!

Looking forward to catching up with everyone in Feb lighter than ever!!

These last few kg are proving hard to shift. Did find that as I really upped the water a little came off but must stay on track to get the last few off. Really wanted to be finished before school went back but no!!

Going to visit the school I go to and put my name down for TRT work again, then hopefully a few days will start coming to keep me busy. I'm just doing odd jobs and not achieving much at the moment. In a limbo mood!! Not good.

See the Adelaide people soon.

Hi Cherry, I find that with the if I don't drink at least 2.5 - 3 litres of a day, the scales won't budge.

The last week has been one of focus and !!

And the scales have reflected that this morning I hit my magic mental number of 50kg. This is where I thought I would feel happy weighing and I am.

BUT I want to aim for the 49kg which is the top of my range for Cohen's and then hit refeed. 46kg at the bottom is just too low, think I would look scrawny!!

Hunger is kicking in especially just as I'm going to bed, which doesn't worry me so much, but I'm also peckish around 10.30. The water and chromium are being used to effect then!!

What advise can others with this goal range give regarding refeed timing?

This journey has taken much longer than I expected but been so worth it for the knowledge and control gained along the way.

Going to rejoin gym this week and start on the balance then add in weights etc to tone up the flabby belly and firm up the thighs.

Hi Cherry, it is your call on this one! We cant advise you unless we see pictures OR if you are at the ADL get together on Tuesday etc and others can advise you. Personally, at almost 54 years old!!! i can definately advocate going at least to the top end of goal 49kg for you or even the 48kg -e.g. i for one am soo glad i didnt give up at 55kg (top of my range) as i am now beyond refeed and delight in hovering between 50 - 52kg no matter what social circumstances i have etc. I KNOW i thought i was thin enought at 56kg but now i can see the extra weight loss makes a world of difference!

It is up to you tho, our bodies are all different. I have a friend who is 40 yrs old and a "shortie" like you and she already looks thin enough at around 56kg! Different body shapes! Her goal is 49-52kg but it is her choice! She has lost a lot of weight from waist up - so looks THIN but if she continued maybe it would all come off her hips!

My BIG advice to you? Change your ticker to one that will show your goal weight so that whether you do refeed at 50kg OR go lower and into the 40's - you get to SHOW you are a 40's girl! There are very few of us 40's girls around so enjoy your time in the spotlight! Pandora

Thanks Pandora for your input. Last weekend went to have photos taken so I could put up before and after photos, couldn't find the camera. After turning the house upside down eventually it was found hidden at a friend's shack after we visited there just after xmas. Shows how little we use it now. Will put up photos later this week when we get it back.

Can't get to the get together at Daisy's as work calls. Pity but as a reliever I work when I'm called in. Have a great time everyone!!

Will change my ticker now that I'm so close to the top of the goal weight. Have my clinic visit Thurs, pity it's a late afternoon one instead of morning. Never feel as rewarded when I get on their scales in the pm.

My mantra for this week is and focus!!

Have a good week everyone
Cherry

Well it's so close but so far. I get to within 1 kilo of where I want to be and then spoil it with a heavy weekend. And start again and be controlled and organised during the week.

Am keeping the water up especially during the week but it slips as well on the weekend.

Got to more.

Am going to get my refeed Thursday so will decide then if I start straight away or wait till I hit 48kg.

On a brighter note I have rejoined the gym and had some PT sessions, and did a body balance class today. It felt really good doing the balance and PT session.

Was good to feel muscles working and stretching again. But the muscles are saying ouch too!! My plan is to increase number and type of classes each week till I'm back to 12 months ago routine.

Not doing too much in this heat, but it soes encourage the water intake.

after a naughty weekend and 2 dinners out the scales aren't too friendly
but that's the result I expected as I've had an incredibly sweet tooth this week and think after 1 sweet thing I craved more.

Had another consult today and got my refeed programme and the advise to be 10 days deviation free before I can start the 18 day refeed. I was hoping for 5 days. Any advise here welcome. At least I will definitely get down to 49, the top of my range.

On another note I have been listening to the second side of the Jon Gabriel CD as I go to sleep. It helps me most nights going to sleep but I find I'm often waking up after 2 hours. I do go back to sleep easily but just thought it was interesting that it happens so frequently. Don't know if it helps with the weight loss but maybe need more time.

This heat is helping me drink lots, am trying to get more than 2 litres a day plus any tea or soft drink. going by others calculations my 50kg weight equals 2 litres water a day so more is a bonus.

Stay cool all the Adelaidians hopefully later next week it'll be cooler.

Thanks for the vote of confidence don't think I'll be much of a guru more a fumbling stumbling trier judging from the time it's taken me to get this far!! But I feel I'm in more controll of the situation.

Must admit I'm looking forward to refeed and getting into a more normal pattern of eating if there is one at all.

Back down to 49.7 this morning so the weekends indiscretion has gone.

Now onto the countdown to refeed 9 days to go

Yay!! I've finally hit my goal weight of 49kg. Actually I've blitzed it and this morning weighed in at 48.9!!! I've been so good these last 5 days to knock off the last kilo that I wasn't letting go!! So I'm going on refeed today.

This will be an adventure. I reread the pages of information last night but will need to do it day by day I think to keep in my head what I'm doing.

With it being so hot in Adelaide this week it's been no problem getting in 3 litres of water a day

Yesterday we got up early, for a Sunday on a long weekend, and drove the 30 mins to Semaphore beach for a walk. Well the walk turned into a 2 1/2 hour wade and swim to Largs and back. The plan was to have breakfast at the Palais afterwards. Yes we'd checked the menu on the net and had decided what I was having was yoghurt and fruit or an egg and spinach, tomato etc. Well cos we took so long breakfast had finished!!

So we found another cafe close by and had breakfast there, I bought some fruit to go along with my egg and gave the toast, bacon and extra egg to my husband. Gee the toast looked so appetising.

Needless to say that last night we were in bed asleep before 11pm.
Not looking forward to another week of heat. Thank goodness we have plenty of a/c and it's not humid.

Congratulations at your fine and outstanding achievement - you are a true champion and you deserve full acclamations for your success and management. You must be so proud at what you have achieved .....and so you should be.

You now need to knuckle down and do your re-feed and then commit to your own health for the rest of your life. I really think you will and if you start to blow out in size - stop and think about Cohen's and how hard it is to loose the weight and how with just a little sensible planning and self commitment you can save the trouble.
best of luck and enjoyment for the rest of your journey.

all the best

Andy

Thanks Andy for the note of confidence . I feel normal at this weight now and don't want to lose that feeling. Still do a double take in mirrors and pick up the wrong size of clothes in shops!!

Speaking of clothes I can't blow out as I only have a limited wardrobe in skinny sizes. The rest are on the floor waiting to go to the op shop, for the first time I have much less clothes in the wardrobe than my husband!! Does that mean I can go shopping?!!

Your journey has been a wonderful thing for me to read reminds me that I don't have the tests and travel to contend with that you do and still you are powering along.

See you at refeed and maintance

Cherry

It sure is more fun now Shell but the bank balance doesn't like it. I'm actually stopping buying summer stuff now but have little for the cooler weather.
I have a funeral to go to tomorrow and of course in the Riverland it will be 40 degrees.
I only have brightish clothes that aren't really appopriate.
Oh well looks like another fashion parade today to select the best option.
Of course I have suitable balck pants, waiting to be hemmed up so may have to do that quickly. It's a pain being short and having to alter every pair of trousers.

Well I'm back and have a reason to move quickly these few kg's that have crept back on. I lose them and keep finding them!!
I've just booked our trip to Bali and this time want to look good in my bathers and not feel the heat too much. And of course to look much nicer in photos than last trip!!
So 2 days in and no real hunger. I had cut down my food intake over the last couple of weeks till I was eating less during the week than on the program but of course the liquid refreshments on the weekend and the accompanying cheese negated all that effort! And I wondered if I cut out too much and the body was holding on to everything it was fed!!
I'm now eating all the fruit and crispbreads to jump start the burning again. And the weekends, well they'll be just days not pigout days.
