Default HELP!!!! too many crackers? ;)

Hi guys. Nearly one week in and 4/5kg gone but it seems to be slowing down now and I am still hungry... I am weighing everything carefully, keeping the times exact, and saving crackers and fruit for those in-between meal moments to keep me going but today I had 2 crackers extra (saladas light, 8 squares) and although I'm still pee-ing a lot, the scales say the same. I know.... maybe I am losing inches elsewhere (yes, it feels like that) but is all this normal? Is 6 crispbreads a day enough for a guy? I am drinking 2.5-3 Litres of water and 1 litre of diet soda which helps stay off the hunger a bit.... anyway,,,, just thought I'd throw this out there. Thanks for reading Paul

Hey Luntha1,

Don't forget...1 salada = 2 crackers...so 2 saladas actually equals to 4 extra crackers (2 small squares = 1 cracker). But I'm not a guy so can't comment on the whole is that enough for a guy, but if Dr C says it is then it is. You'll find you lose your hunger...it took a few weeks for me to not be hungry...give it a few weeks until you hit the zone and you'll notice the hunger drop.

Also eating extra...I think...would make you hungrier...but I could be wrong.

Good luck!

Kirst

Hey Paul
The idea is that your meant to eat exactly what is prescribed for you, nothing more. I feel the same as you though and have had a few extra crackers here and there but its something i really try not to do!!!
It helps if you save the crackers and fruit for those 'hungry' times of day.... Like 3pm....
Hope this helps, congrats on the 5kg!!!

Eating more than you are prescribed will be counterproductive to your weightloss as it will actually make you more hungry. Are you taking a multivitamin and chromium? Are you exercising, that is also not recommended, as it will also make you more hungry. Have you tried chewing gum instead of eating more crackers? Reread your programme, it can take several readings to get a full understanding. If in doubt, contact your clinic.

Thanks guys! The day after posting the message I hit the 'no hunger' day (which has continued since) and the need for extra crackers has subsided - in fact I have to force myself to eat them! Funny isn't it?! Even though I am peeing lots and my body is changing I also have not lost any weight in 4 days - is this normal? Does it go through cycles of dropping lots of weight and then none? What should I expect, as a man, to lose per month on average?
Many thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Quite normal - this varies from person to person.... Weight can even go up some days, then come crashing down 1Kg or more a day or two later - it is quite "roller-coaster-ish".... or can be !! Don't expect anything except that, by sticking to your Plan, you WILL shed those Kgs - quickly !!

Quote:

Yep - and often "Kgs lost" is in a tag team with "cms lost" - one is in the ring going for it, whiole the other takes a breather. And, yes, both can be in the ring together, too.....

Paul, tough question - the following link should help give you an understanding of "What is likely..."
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9635

Be sure to click the links within that post - those add more information re actual Kgs, average losses, etc.

Just keep in mind that the best you can do is to stay true to the Plan, and stay happy and excited about what you are doing!! It's a winning formula,

Koh

I echo what has been said before - the main message I want to get across for everyone who might read this is this:

Stick to plan 100% (this means all the rules like timing, sleep, water etc) and you WILL lose weight and lose it fast. Deviate from the plan and you WILL slow it down.

So glad you posted back to say you hit the no hunger day (welcome to the Zone!) it is good for others to see that it really does happen if you just stick with it.

And yes, you must eat those crackers and fruit even if you don't feel hungry

Hi Paul,
I am allocated 6 cracker (ie 3 big squres of salada) a day, it's enough most days and i generally eat them out of habit now with a meal not being hunger driven.

Loss will depend on your amount to loose, age, and height too not just being a guy.
As a younging tall guy myself i have lost it very quickly (well it is called a rapid weight loss diet) compared to a lot of the 'ahem' shorter ladies on here. [50.2 kgs in 20 weeks]

I have 54kgs to loose and have been loosing on average 2.5 kgs a week, my max (apart from the firts week) has been 3.8 and at worst 200g

1-4 week average - 3.4kgs week
5-8 week average - 2.6
9-12 week average - 2.3
13-16 week average - 2.4
17-20 week average - 1.7

Remember you will also (??!!) have a TOM even though you are a guy. I have 3 better weeks and then in the 4th week have a low loss if anything. The following week normally makes up for it though.

Good luck,
Ed

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

That is like men who get sore backs when their wives are pregnant LOL.

Just kidding

To clarify on the crackers - after the first 10 days you don't have to eat all your crackers and fruit. Sorry for any confusion

And here was me thinking EdQ was taking the mickey when he posted lower weight losses in the 10kg to goal club because of TOM...and Mark with the effect of the full moon
Now I have to believe they think it's really the reason
