Default Day 1

Thanks for the welcome ladies/gents.

Well I started today and wanted to get some feedback on my day so far in regards to eating:

Breakfast - Fried egg and Cohens bruschetta for breakfast with 2 salada crackers.
Snack - Apple
Lunch - Chicken Soup (Cohen's) & two salada
Snack - Orange
Dinner - Will be Stir Fry beef

Was starving by lunchtime, went to the shops to buy celery for my soup and looked longingly at the chocolate (mmm chocolate), but was very proud of myself when I bypassed it!!

Having trouble with the water as I absolutely detest plain water, any suggestions? Can I stick a cube of frozen lemon juice in? and if so do I need to count this?

Thanks in advance for all your feedback.

Well done on your first day so far FilisGal. You may feel quite hungry the first few days as your body adjusts to the new eating plan but it should pass, along with any detox symptoms, within about 2 weeks or earlier. It varies from person to person.

It's an empowering feeling being able to bypass that chocolate isn't it! I'm proud of you for resisting especially as I know how strong that desire can be - I'm a chocoholic You will be so glad you stuck 100% to the plan when you reach goal in record time and you will also reach the "zone" quicker and feel so good that you don't want to eat anything remotely off plan.

If you browse around the forum you will see some of the amazing benefits of following the Cohen's eating plan.

I also battle to drink all my water and when the weather is cool it's worse but as the weather warms up I found that chilling my water makes it go down a lot easier. If you do add lemon juice to your water it will need to be counted in your fruit allowance.

It sounds like you're doing an awesome job so far and I look forward to following your journey to goal!

HI FilisGal!!! Welcome to the Cohen's Family Forum

Fantastic job on avoiding those choccies! I swear the other day I wanted to protest at my local supermarket, simply because they make you have to queue in this aisle LINED with naughty stuff and it's incredibly tempting! Now I have this theory, I take my hubby with when I know I need to buy lost of stuff, cos he won't let me buy any choccies no matter how "longingly" I stare at them, otherwise, if I need to pop by straight after work, I move straight to the "10 items or less" queue at the cigarette counter and pay for my stuff there! Although they also have temptations there, the queue moves so quick, one doesn't have time to even start considering which to pick aaaaah the mental games we play with ourselves while OP!

Regarding your water, I to am not a big fan of plain water, so I fill my 750ml bottle and dangle a green tea teabag in there (my water is never cold - at the very least its just above room temperature as I have extremely sensitive teeth and cold stuff give me a dreadful headache!) The green tea slightly infuses into the water and gives it a different taste (which strangely enough I enjoy)... I usually manage 4-5 of these bottles a day, which equates to 3-3.75 liters a day!

Okay enough about me!
Welcome again and I am looking forward to following your Cohen's weight loss journey! I know the 43.8kg's may seem daunting right now, but I promise the kg's will fall off in record time! If you look in LLL16's diary, you will see that she just recorded a loss of around 30kg's in 16 weeks! That's absolutely incredible and you can do exactly the same!!

Best of luck and just keep flexing those "No Thank You" muscles

HAPPY LOSING!!
