Round 2!!
I’m starting on my Cohen’s journey for the second time. The first time was awesome and it was so quick - but then life happened. I can remember what it was like the first time and so nothing surprises me this time. I’m actually in week 3 and started as soon as I got my new program which was a Wednesday so it’s a weird time to start but I was keen as so just jumped in. Last time I did this I lost 48kgs then started freaking out as more and more people thought I was sick and commenting on the weight I lost etc. and I started seeing the strangest things like a collar bone lol - actual bones!!! Ewwww since I hadn’t seen a collar bone in my whole adult lifetime it made me feel ill ahahaha - I was such a knob. Anyways now I have about the same amount to lose this time as last time but just thinking about the goal weight makes me nausceous cause it’s soooooo far away - so I’ve broken my goals down in 10kg lots and also broken them down into percentage losses - in other words 10% (8.7kgs) which I have almost achieved already so that’s more motivating then seeing a total 87kgs to lose. I’m sure there are loads of people that have had the same daunting task ahead of them that I face today. |

Re: Round 2!!
Hi Justa,
I think I recall your monicker from last time. Did you actually get to refeed last time, and close the loop so to speak? From your words, it seems you have the same journey again (80Kg to go?) and yet you were having people commenting how thin your were just 48Kgs down. Wow - that could be hard to get around - but can I suggest you stick with us as we are used to all that stuff, and can maybe guide you thru the hard bits. You are sounding bright, so that is a good start, Koh

Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! |

Re: Round 2!!
Yup that’s me - I had never in my lifetime lost so much weight so quickly and so the result freaked me out. Seeing bones again I had never seen in my adult life had me convinced I was waaaayyyyy too slim. The reality is that I’ve been obese for so long I can’t remember what I look like without the layers of fat so I stopped. All up I lost 59kgs and had 13 more to go at that stage or 11? But didn’t make it to re-feed as I stopped dead in my tracks. In fact no one had seen me slim so everyone was constantly telling me how I look sick, gaunt face and too skinny etc and I listened - it was hard not too when it was literally everyone
This time round I’m more psychologically on board and aware of what changes are going to happen and the conversations I’m going to have with people when they start noticing. Can’t wait !!!! |
