Dada I have a big drop !! Finally down to 75.9kg's this morning .. But I changed up a few variables !

I was reading a lady's post on FB and she had dropped 27 Kg's in 12 weeks, it got me thinking I used to be a fast looser too... why wasn't I now, was it age ?? So not sure,I pulled out both of my programs and looked at the rates of document losses ... they where good

Mmn Ok

1) I got a bit slack with weighing my food using a standard weight that was slightly different to the Cohens guidelines just to make it simple.. Maybe the 5 or 10 g difference could make an impact

2) I changed my regular multivitamin to an expensive pharmacy brand and was taking selenium drops as well. I don't have an over active thyroid but thought it might help drop the weight. Where these too also stalling the weight loss ?? It has happened to me before so went back to the old tried, tested and trusted Cenovis Multi Vitamin

3) Cut the fruit portion. I didn't really need it. not Hungry enough to justify eating it.

I really think it was the multi vitamin and selenium drops

Onwards We GO

Hey Jessy

Well done on the 600gm drop!

My personal pattern, once I get underway, is a drop each three days. Once I got my head around that and accepted it, I started to work with it and felt a lot more in control

Your observations about weighing rang a bell with me.

My Menu choices have a same weight Protein (meat / chicken) / Vegetable option in each of the Meal 2 and Meal 3 menu. I found it easier to rely on these choices, do the meat vv chicken most days, interchanged with cheese / fish options which are quite different weights.

I remember one of the Consultants at the Mitcham Clinic looking very thoughtful when I told her this, she hadn't realised that I had the same weight for meat / chicken options and went off to read my Program to satisfy herself that I was right - and, on track!

I remember Asy being very particular about weighing. As she reminded us, if 5g is 5% variance, that is actually a wide variance from the formula.

We wouldn't want to drive across a bridge which had been built with a 5% tolerance for fault!

Anyway, we shall soon be racing each other on this downhill slope through the 70s - and I am happy to be cheering you on!!

Lotsa love
Kristine

So True Kristine

If a multi vitamin which weigh's FAR LESS than 5 g have an impact on weight loss with this program then 5g of protein would be similar.

Onwards we go

First goal reached and passed... 74.6Kg this morning

I haven't been this low in years maybe all the way back in 2013 - 2014 how sad !!!

Next goal 71.9. The numbers on the scale are my motivation.. I know so many people say don't focus on the numbers BUT they are my true indicator that I am moving in the right direction.

5 kg's to get to the 60's and then I know the home run and refeed is in sight.

Feeling strong this time around mentally. I was sick and tired of my self and way of life to really want this change.

Today marks one month with No Alcohol ( no hangovers !!! ) , No fatty carbs ( chips bay marie food, I work in a servo selling the stuff to people and not one little chip, that feels impowering on its own ) no energy drinks, I had 1 600ml diet coke in the 4 weeks.

Last 2 days I didn't do any cardio, yesterday sorted a cupboard out, there is a sense of achievement in seeing organization.

and grinding glass to load the kiln... I picked up a hobby fusing dichroic glass jewellery .... Beachside Glass or @PilbaraBeachsideGlass on FB it is good fun i am always amazed at what can come out of the kiln

Good Georgey the pup with the sore paw is mending OK, I love staying home with the dogs there is always something to do here.

Hey Jessy

Good work!

Staying True To Self is so empowering, we wonder why we don't practice the fine art more often!

Your weight loss is great! Your mind set is very focused and your body is obviously purring along like a well tuned motor.

You are healing your life just as much as Georgey is healing his paw.

Dichroic glass is beautiful stuff. I was in Hobart a few years back and there was a bit of a mini-market in the boarding hall at the wharf. I bought some dichroic earrings - or should I saw, ear jewelry as none of them were rings, from a lady whose day job was as a Critical Care Nurse.

Whenever I wear these studs I get comments, people are intrigued at the depth of colour and the way light moves within the glass.

She told me she could never guarantee the colour of anything, that each batch was different, so I understand your amazement at what comes out of the kiln!

And good on you for Marie Kondoing the cupboard. Nothing like a bit of tidying to make us feel good.

Lotsa love
Kristine

Hi Jessy!

Your ability to work around food and not give in to temptation are a real motivation. You should have seen me trying to clear the fridge of junk this morning. The inner saboteur was like: "Ohh, freeze this for when...". Like this will not be a lifestyle change. I have to really correct my thinking about food.

Took a nosey around your FB jewelry page. Really gorgeous. I especially like the bracelet.

Really happy to see a few other faces here.

Morning Lady's

Hi Heidimama, nice you have joined us.

There are some days filled with a lot of "NO's " coming from me not to pick yesterday was a hard one.... i could of got right in there and the sweets, chocolate !! Crazy , going to increase good fats at the end of this to kill any cravings for crap foods and potential over eating. The one real eye opener about Carnivore diet was how well it curved and killed any cravings or desire for crap foods and alcohol....

Yesterday the scales dropped to 74.2 for them to bounce back up today to 74.6, which is OK as it might be a sticky weight and it also reinforces the losses from last week.

Off to the vet very soon to get the stitches out, Hoorah , the dogs and i so glad to be able to move on from this.. we will be able to walk again

Its hot here yesterday 46, today hot and humid ... horrible weather, lovely in the aircon so glad I have solar on the roof otherwise we would be cooking out of fear of electricity consumption !!!

Bouncing bouncing bouncing around the 74's , this morning 74.3 have had a physically hard 2 days at work.

Just went back over my original diary, patience and persistence is the key !!!

I bought 3 kg of turkey beast at Christmas that is in the freezer I am thawing out, going to change my proteins. It is stuffed but I just take it out and wash the meat off... Its actually a lovely nice big piece piece of turkey breast.

I hope everyone's starting week is going well.

Its been a few days still plodding along...

Turkey is OK I steam it but really only a few bites of meat per meal !! Can't wait to eat larger portions ... down to 73.5

All these numbers and beyond I haven't seen in such a long time ... many years ago now.. My legs are even starting to look SKINNY !!! Wow

wearing shorts that where too tight last week are loose this week !!

Another 2 - 3 weeks and I should be in the 60's !! Hoorah That will feel like an achievement for sure.

All the best for the weekend, Stay Safe

Hi Jessy,
Wow, those losses are looking like they are coming thick and fast. Attagirl !!
You must be doing something right eh? You've got it sussed, and now all you need to do is to hurry up and wait while your Cohen food amounts weave its magic on your body.

Rock on Jessy !!

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!
