Default Re: Giddyupgirl's Diary

Oh yay, I am finally away from that blasted 77kg mark, I have been stuck on 77 something for the past 9 days, was driving me nutz, all my own doing of course after my brain explosion deviations. My next goal is 75kg, so hopefully I will see that in the next couple of weeks.

I have just been reading over my eating diary and I am almost eating the same thing every meal, do you think that could become/or is a problem. Or maybe my brain is working right, perhaps food isn't for entertainment anymore, I am not really that interested in changing what I eat, unless it isn't a good thing of course, who knows. Any ideas?

hey gug
i eat basically the same meals over a week. as long as it is 100% program it is fine. You will find that as food becomes fuel rather than any of the other reasons we choose to eat, it doesnt matter so much what it is. is lobster any different to canned tuna as a fuel ( not a lot) so why would we attach more importance to lobster. I am sure you can supply the answer to that as easily as me or any other person- it is a social issue.
your post indicates that you are getting past that social stuff- you are doing great ,keep it up
cheers
mark

Hi Gug,

I well recall Faithy saying that she was happy with her food - virtually unchanged. As I recall, she ensured she ate spinach and beef (for the iron content) as she walked her walk - close to 12 months of it.

As mcpsych says "It's just fuel". As long as it is good fuel, maybe no more needs to be done. If you want a change, why not? Stick within the guidelines with the change, and you'll be sweet.

Or, if you are happy with what you are eating, stick with it. I don't believe there is any Cohens rule that says "You must cycle through your meal choices".....

Rock on, Gug, and good wishes for having those 77's in your rear-view mirror,

Koh

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!

woohoo, size 12 jeans this morning, gotta be happy with that!!! Thanks Koh and McPsych, I am probably just lazy to eat much variety but it works for me as long as it is ok to do so.

Sim thanks for dropping by, I am glad I was able to make you feel good, that is what this forum is all about, support and guidance.

I meant he might not want to get too big for his pants or he might have some male competition (and I don't mean your GG!)

mmmm cheese, I haven't had cheese for over a week, really miss it. I think it was friday week ago, I was running late with dinner so just had the cheese option, felt really sick after it, it was the first time I have had cheese at night. Won't do that again, definitely a lunch time option for me.

I am totally beef atm, I really over dosed on chicken in the beginning, and then I got a tummy bug and the last thing I ate was chicken, and you can guess what the first thing was that came up! Now even when I smell chicken that is all I can taste, ewwww. I hope it doesn't last too much longer.

Very interesting question jlou, not being a big drinker since I was at uni the first time, in 3rd year and after a weekend bender ended up in a strange house in Dandenong, totally naked with permanent marker writing all over me, no idea how I got there or what happened in the proceeding 24 hours, that was enough to put me off drinking in excess.

Wow - have you seen the movie The Hangover? reminds me of that. A Bucks night gone very wrong. I hope you were ok after that - I can see how it would put you off drinking to excess pretty quickly!

Yeah I was fine, nothing bad happened, a couple of friends could account for my whereabouts thank goodness but certainly was a major lesson at a very young age.

Although works sucks, I had a good day as far as compliments go, I have been on leave for a week and in that time I went from baggy clown clothes to the next size down fitting well. So to the people that only see me at work were a little shocked by my weight loss. hehe, great feeling shocking people like that.
