Thanks guys for dropping by, sorry I haven't updated my diary for a while, I have absolutely nothing positive to say about myself, I am in a really bad head space right now, and from past experiences didn't want to inflict that on all of you. I am happier to stay in denial and to feed off everyone elses happiness for now.

Thanks Vee for your lovely kind comments, I am just in a bit of an emotional dark place right now and unfortunately my weight loss is very attached to my emotions, but I will survive. I am not doing anything silly like turning to food for comfort or deviating, I am still 100%.

Oh i so know the struggle of emotions being linked to food - before Cohen's that is exactly what was my undoing - any emotions meant I should involved food. It is hard to redefine that and find other coping strategies isn't it..... Well done on still being 100% though and I really hope you feel better soon - do know that i totally relate.

Thanks guys for your support, I am just wandering around lost in the wilderness. My confidante of 20 years has retired and I am not coping very well, someone who knows me and my history so well is going to be impossible to replace. I am out of options unfortunately.

Hey Lady...

How are you? I haven't read all the way back through, but I hope everything is going ok?!

I can't believe how close you are to your goal weight... in such a short space of time! Honestly, you started your weight loss journey in October and 5mths later, you are 33kg's lighter!!! That's amazing!
I am uber jealous and can not weight to have my ticker looking similar to yours.

Chin up foxy lady... You are inspiring!

Thanks Mellow, I am ok, just plodding along, don't really have anything interesting to report in my diary. TOM has messed about my weight loss for the past week and a bit. I know to expect that now, so don't stress over it anymore. Just know for about 10 days a month I lose absolutely nothing and often gain up to 500g overnight. Ah well, hopefully something should move tomorrow.

I am pleased with my weight loss to date, it has really slowed down now though, but that appears to be par for the course as we get closer and closer to goal weight. Again something that just has to be accepted. Mellow you are powering on so well, you will be seeing the big numbers in no time.

Now all I have to do is convince my brain that I have lost a heap of weight, I still can't see it. People say that deliberately looking in the mirror doesn't work when the brain isn't cooperating, but that accident glances in shop windows etc generally give us a better indication. That isn't working for me either. Hopefully my brain will start behaving itself soon. I really want to get to the 73kg mark this week as that will be exactly 10kg from the top of my goal weight. Been languishing at 74.1-74.6 for the past week and a bit.

Really struggling emotionally with quite a few non weight related issues and really proud of myself as I haven't turned to food once for support, surely that has to be a positive thing, as that was always my first line of support, followed by my therapist, now I don't have either of those it is all up to me now to pull myself up out of this slump, I hope that is really soon cause I am really annoying myself now.

Hey Gug - just curious - so if you are not turning to food what are you doing to cope? Might be a good lesson to the rest of us to see your coping strategies.

Oh I am not coping I am internalising everything right now, and living in denial, I am just lucky that my will power is winning atm. I know the reasons for my self distructive behaviours and why I turn to food, I know what my triggers are, so I guess that makes it a little bit easier for me to recognise it and stop myself from turning to food.

Hey GUG

Sorry to hear things are getting a bit much - do you think seeing a psychologist might help especially in this last little bit?

Thanks guys for your support, this forum is certainly keeping me sane and centred, for that I am eternally greatful to you all. I am down particularly because my psychologist of 20 years has had to retire for health reasons. I have major trust issues and can't bring myself to share my story with a stranger, or anyone else for that matter. I am ok, I will get through this, being able to have control over my food and weight is my coping strategy right now, so if I focus on that, all will be ok.

I have had a good day today, my weight has gone down into the 73kg zone, and 73.0kg is exactly 10kg from the top of my goal weight, (home straight) so I am very close to a mini goal, yay!. Also my celtic sea salt finally arrived today, so hopefully that will help with my cramps and my little mini scales also turned up and they are just so cute. Just gotta find some sort of bowl or container that will fit on them but is small enough to put in my handbag. Hmm, just had a thought, I could just put ziplock bags in my hand bag and use them to weigh stuff when I am out.
