Oh, such a lazy day today.

Watched DVD's with youngest son and then we did some computer 'stuff.'

Refeed is going well although I am sooooo hungry tonight - had to have a can of diet sprite - not something I do often. I will be so pleased when I get another increase. Today I again had the same protein and veges and again two extra fruit so had a mixture of blueberries, rockmelon and mandarin.

Tomorrow I get another piece of bread - I think a steak sandwich is coming up. Oh I could have steak with onion, tomato, cucumber, rocket and other greens. Oh yum, will dream of it tonight.

I have to sit up for another half an hour until I can go to bed. oh, could i have something to eat. Funny - it seems like the increases work for a few days and then I get really hungry and it is no longer enough. Then I get the next increase and feel satisfied again for another few days.

Am looking forward to finishing refeed launching into life after......

Hope I shall be ok and not have problems with binging or eating too much.

Hope I can just have food as part of a very balanced life which includes lots of aspects.

Shanara

Gotta love the lazy days. Of course I would be dying here if I had the fire and my uggs on. I'm in Los Angeles and it's summer here.

So glad the date went well. How did you handle your food while on refeed? Or did you not go for food?

Cindy

Yeah still loosing - obviously that is one reason I was so hungry last night. Oh I love this programme. Another increase in protein today. yeah. I am going to have my staek sandwich and as I have to take lunch out with me I think I will have my steak sandwich for breakfast.

Oh must go - my stomach is growling for food.

Well, what a buzz. I am still loosing and the food is increasing. I am in heaven.

The steak sandwich was wonderful. I can't believe how much steak I could have. Two pieces of bread, steak, onions and tomato. Wow!

Today my first 'bad' fruit. A banana. It tasted fantastic and I have one for tomorrow as well. Banana on toast!
Tomorrow I get three pieces of bread and so far no adverse reaction from bread.

Tonight I also mixed proteins so I no longer have to be so worried about the 5 hours between meals. I had steak with baked veges and prawns - my Cohens surf and turf! Oh, so much to eat! that wonderful replete feeling in the tum. How I have waited for this.

Sorry to those reading who are still on programme - but - your turn will come and I have waited a long time for this.

I am loving the reaction from my body to the extra food - it feels stronger. I feel more centred in myself as well.

Flamie - you are doing really well and will be in refeed sooner than you think!

Koh - and the time is right -I am sure this is right - yes 60 kgs gone would be great! only 1 kg to go - I think!

Vee - you sure do. thanks - no sign of the hungrys today - in fact the opposite - very replete!

Cindy - didn't go for food - we have two more dates planned this week - none involving food. Also visited last night - tea only - no food. Have said I am detoxing and that has been accepted as true. Although I am looking forward to sharing a glass of red wine soon - maybe with bubble bath!

Michelle - thanks - I love refeed!

Connie - I think so too. Am feeling very happy lately. And of course new romantic interest always is beautiful time of getting to know each other.

Hope all is well with everyone,
Shanara

Today down to 75.4 and I have started mixing proteins and am still loosing.

The amount of food i am having now is wonderful and some days it is hard to eat it all.

Had a very interesting thing happen yesterday and thankfully my clinic were available to speak to me as i was freaky out. I had had blueberries for two days with no problems yet hen I look back on it i was having them either with meal 2 or 3 or after those two meals. I had some blueberries yesterday morning for morning tea after egg option for meal 1. Well within an hour I felt like I had injected pure sugar in my veins. What a spin out! I was a mess! it was not the bleberries it was the timing and what i had eaten or not eaten. Rang the clinic and they said to quickly eat my lunch which was due and to only have proteins and veges to sort out my sugar levels. so I am going to have to be careful with blueberries ... and maybe some of the other fruits.

ooops got to go

will come back later.
Shanara

hexi

I think rather than totally weird it actually showed me how finely balanced firstly this programme is and secondly my body is. the timing of foods and what is eaten in combination can be just as , if not more important than, the food that is eaten.

Blueberries eaten in combination with protein in my stomach are fine- without - not. So for now will try blueberries again with yoghurt and see if they affect me.

Love this programme and I guess why keeping to maintenance guidelines keeps our bodies from the insulin spiking which just derails us. When we insulin spike and get our sugar levels out of balance then we are powerless to keep on track. the body is just out of whack.

Shanara

Hi Shan,

You sound so much happier! I am happy for you. talking about your blueberry incident, I have in the past experienced something similar with grapes. On a couple of occasions I had eaten grapes and about one hour later would have such a sugar imbalance I would have the sweats and the swirling stars that I would need to lie down, until it passed. totally passy outy. bizarro. I never eat grapes anymore.
