Yup Narelle, I have learned a degree of patience with this, but having a 500g gain because of TOM is mega frustrating and being so close to that elusive 60's is driving me a little more nutz than usual. I am still super tired, no idea why, and had the worst cramps I have ever had last night, both TOM related and in my legs and feet.

The only kind thing our creator did for us was menopause, when the heck does that happen, can you make it happen any sooner, bring it on I say grrrr.
Feeling very out of sorts today, maybe I should go home, I am being highly unproductive at work.

I JUST WANT TO BE A 60'S GIRL!!!!!

Yay Bronnie, I think there will be a heap of us all going into refeed at about the same time, will be great to have that support network as we wander through the mine field of refeed and on into maintenance.

Hey GUG

Sorry to hear you are struggling so much with tiredness.
Try having an extra vitamin/mineral before your lunch as that can really help lift it a bit. I struggled with tiredness so much the first time I did the programme and that was the only thing that helped me, oh and lots of rest through the day (which is impossible when you work full time). Also if you are getting cramps in your legs and feet, you may want to start taking some magnesium tablets, you can combine it with calcium or take them on their own. They are pretty good for cramps. If you do a search on here, you should find a fair bit of info on it and what other people also experienced.

Sending you fat melting hugz to get you into the 60s!

Vee

Thanks Vee, I really don't have too much to complain about, I am enjoying my journey now, just these few annoyances to keep me on my toes. The tiredness thingy has only just started this week. I do have Ross River Virus, maybe that is having a bit of a flare up, but I have no accompanying rash or joint aches, so don't know really.

I have been having cramps in my lower legs and feet since just about week one, and am taking the maximum dose of calcium/magnesium tablets and have been using Celtic sea salt which had been working pretty well. But just this last week, back with a vengeance, I guess the two could be related, not a clue. But I will keep puddling along, the 60's will just be a week later than I had thought/hoped, but I will get there in good time.

I have been a bit slack on my quotes, so must get back into those again, I like them. Sorry this one is off my desk calendar, it is all that is available to me right now, but it is still true

Quote of the day:

The generosity of your time is the most valuable gift you can give.

It sounds like you are getting to the business end of your journey, and this is the tough part, so you really have to hang in there and take it one day at a time, especially if you are struggling with the tiredness and cramps. Try the exta vitamin/mineral tablet and see how it goes for you. Knowing you, you hang in there anyway, cause you are a persistent GUG!

Good on the magnesium and celtic sea salt. For the rest, stretch those limbs as much as you can and as often as you can!

Bring on those 60s!

Vee

Thanks Vee, I will definitely grab another multivitamin when I get home for lunch, much better option than the old one of grabbing a chocolate, those days are gone for good.

It is very exciting getting closer to the end isn't it? I think my bloody mindedness has been the key to keeping me going through thick and thin (much more thin now hehe). Stick insect often says I am like a mongrel dog with a bone, I won't let it go until it is all gone. Not very complimentary way of saying it, but true enough hehe.
I reckon if I give myself the goal of being in the 60's by next Friday then that is very achievable and I won't be setting myself up for a fall.

Hi Giddyupgirl, congratulations on your 1 kilo loss and hugs for the disappointment of that disappearing re-appearing 500 grams TOM will be gone soon and all will be well. Stay strong and it will show and there are 3 more weigh ins for the challenge so there is plenty of time for you to excel.

Thanks M&N, I am not concerned about the challenge weight, I knew going in that it wasn't realistic for me to drop 10kg in 6 weeks, but it is very helpful as a motivating tool that is for sure.

Hi Andi, thanks I will need all the cheering on I can get. Hehe if I could bottle it and sell it I would get a lot of people after a refund, it works well in certain situations but not in all that is for sure

I took an extra multi vitamin and chromium at lunch, hopefully they will kick in soon and give me some energy, feel like a bit of a fraud being paid to be at work today. Spent most of my time on this forum

Hi GUG,

You will be a 60s girl after TOM - I have a feeling about it !

Maybe the change of seasons has something to do with you being tired...

And please don't rush to get to menopause - TOM is generally once a month but the hot flashes are daily x 5-6-7-8!

Hi Kenga, I think I am still a fair way off menopause But the hot flushes sound awful, although at the moment I don't think it would be too bad, really feeling the cold, and it isn't even cold yet.

Hey GUG

If anything, being on Cohens diminishes the effects of those menopausal hot flushes! Everyone is so different and with any luck you can give it all a miss!

Still no movement on the scales, but that was to be expected, I really shouldn't weigh myself right now, but it is an OCD and I can't help it. Not stressing me though, just using it for information which will be useful in the scary land of maintenance. I reckon the more we can learn about our own bodies needs and unique idiosyncrasies during this part of the journey should make the next part and on to the future more successful.

Lovely bracing autumn morning this morning, looks like it is going to be a wonderful day. Enjoy your day everyone and happy shrinking.

HI GUG,

I like the reminder from Hexi, so when the scales aren't moving we're shrinking!

It won't be long til you're a 60's gal - WOW you have come along way!!! Inspiring young lady!!!

Can't wait to hear you scream and shout when you hit 69.9!!!

Thanks guys, I cruise along happily until I get really close to a goal, then get a little frustrated, but as Hexi says I am shrinking, my size 12 pants are getting a little loose around the waist and legs, wont be long now before I will have to buy some size 10

Maybe it is the wind off this down hill rush that is making me so damned cold Mark. It is 20 degrees and I have 3 layers of clothes on and 2 of them are woollen.
