Today is my last refeed day - still trying think of a good name for my maintainence diary. Started the day with lamb and new veges with yoghurt and fruit salad - well cohens fruit salad - mixture of mango, banana, strawberries and watermelon. Yummo and I get to have it three more times today. OOOhhhh did I enjoy my glass of wine last night! Not that fussed on scotch finger biscuits but did enjoy them as well. Was trying to get ginger nut biscuits but there must be a team of squirrels hoarding them away - went to four shops and couldn't get any. Sign I am not to have them I guess. Enjoying my last day on refeed before the chains come off and I am giving my free pass - do not pass go - do not go to goal......lol. A bit scary but also exciting to see if i can just have 'normal' attitude to food. I hope food is just another part of my rich varied life - not the be all and end all. Havng a little celebration tonight which involves a hot bath and two wine glasses filled with wine - and that's as much goss as I am giving you. Well, over to my last day........ Shanara

Gosh Shanara,
Your simply breezed through your refeed! You sound so happy!!! Funny that when I deviated with the extra food in Hong Kong, my weight seemed to drop faster than now. Now I'm back to 100g a day kind of drop. Also, I seem to be having more sleepless nights... but my body is so achingly tired! The back pain is killing me all over again. Missed them for a while and now towards the end of the programme, the pain is all over the back! HORRID pain! Anyway, I'm so happy for you that you're onto maintenance. I shall re-read your refeed to get myself mentally and emotionally prepared - hopefully in 1.5 mths time...now I've got to rest my horrible back!

The back pain is killing me all over again. Hey FlaMie - I had chronic insomnia before I started cohens and have been having the best sleeps ever in living memory since I started the diet. However, the tree days before i started refeed, I could not sleep for the life of me (like 4 hours a night tops) - reverting back to my insomnia days. I did not get hungry before I started, but could feel that my blood sugar was really low. I look my inability to sleep and my body telling me that enough was enough - maybe this is the same case for you? |

Well done on getting through the whole program. I have read your diary and refeed diary with interest. I may not have commented much but I definitely have followed your journey.
I am currently 6.7 kilos from goal and am starving hungry every day. Straight after eating I am still hungry and it is difficult to get to sleep at night. I have spoken to the clinic and they have told me to tough it out but that is easier said than done. Anyway, congratulations to you, I am sure you will continue to win the battle.
