Default Day 14 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.9KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY 0
OVERALL - 1KG

Same protein weights "old" & "new"
Increase "new" veges
Same old vege weights
2 "bad" fruits
3 slices bread
milk (not today)
Add carbs

Getting down to the business end of refeed and my weight seems to be stabilising. I think 74-75kg is where my body likes to be. I will see how things go in maintenance I think it is very achieveable for me to stay within a 2kg range of that.

Wow I seem to be staring at huge plates of food at the moment!!! My hubby reckons I still ate so much more prior to cohens....how your eyes where way to big for your tummy back then in the "old" days

Thanks for stopping by Vee. Your navigations through maintainence are very valuable and good reading for me....thanks a bundle. I will start my own navigating soon.

Hehe Aunty Rosemary....you will see soon enough. I wanted to take some nice photos before we go out on saturday night and post them on sunday both here and FB. I just got a new mobile though and maybe I will try work out how to send you one before then

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Jenny, sorry I havent visited your refeed diary previously Im afraid the pressures of work have really limited my diary time of late, but tonight Im in a hotel room with time on my hands. I notice that we both had a 16 day refeed and are finishing within 24 hours of each other. I think your husband is right about the quantites of food. It does seem so much after doing cohens! I cant help feeling that after the smaller quantites it has really helped us to appreciate a moderate quantity of nice healthy meals and the joy of some well placed fruit! We can both little forward to some nice little treats in the near future. I have been thinking about what i want that I havent had and I think I will be much more discriminating about my treats. I will make them really special and just the things i really like the very best. Luckily I do like dark chocolate!

Default Day 15 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.7KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY -200G
OVERALL -1.2KG

Add "new" protein minus "old" protein
Add "new" veges
2 "bad" fruits
3 slices bread. 1 slice with margarine
Milk (not today)
Add carbs
1 glass alcohol (not today)
1 plain biscuit

Still hovering round the same weight so very happy considering all this food Am giving the alcohol and milk a miss today. I was never a big milk or alcohol drinker before cohens. Don't get me wrong don't mind a good party now and again but not a regular come home and have a wine person!!! I also am working tonight so I would hate to see the calibur of my work after even one glass...I'm guessing I'm going to be a bit of a cadbury first time round on the drink!!!!! Am going to have a glass tomorrow night though to celebrate last day of refeed.

Played basketball again last night and had a great time. Each game I am not so sore afterwards and my form is slowly improving!!! I did get a nicely jarred wedding ring finger and my knuckle is bruised and a bit ouchy!!!

Am feeling very energetic now the food is satisfying me which is great I am really getting into the walking/jogging. Would love to start pilates for my core strength and some toning. Will look into that soon.

Can't believe I am so close to the end of refeed and am feeling so great and proud of my efforts. Maintenance is all about using all the tools I have learnt in the last 8 mths to manage my weight and enjoy my life to the best of my abilities and I intend to give it my absolute best.

Thanks to everyone for dropping by,
Congratulations of reaching refeed Hopeful, I have spread my new food over each meal. I spent some serious time planning my meals out well in advance.
Louise.. Well done on getting to the end of your refeed. I will see you in Maintenance Land!!!
Aunty Rosemary.....I will keep you in suspense with the hair....I did get used to my curls to, but I figured I needed to give this new body a totally new look!!!! Plus it's not so expensive for me to up keep

Have a great day everyone

Default Day 16 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.8KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY +100G
OVERALL -1.1KG

Add more "new" protein minus "old" protein
Add more "new" vege
2 "bad" fruits
3 slices bread (one slice with margarine)
Milk
Add carbs
2 plain biscuits
1 glass of alcohol ( instead of 1 slice of bread)

Last day of refeed.....oh my goodness I made it It is the end of the restrictions of cohens but tomorrow it's up to me to keep up what the good doctor has taught me....I'm excited

I will try everything on the refeed menu today. Plain bickies with my white coffee....mmmmm. I must admit though I have come to like my black coffees and will prob continue to have them on a day to day basis and have a treat coffee when out with the girls occasionally.

I am so excited about going out tomorrow night. I have researched the menu on the net and they do all large entree size meals for $20 each and the dessert menu was very tempting but I think I will have to give the New York baked cheesecake a go as it is as close as "good dessert" as Dr Cohen recommends in maintenance. All in moderation is my new motto!!!

Thanks again to everyone who has popped into my diary and posted. I am not the best at getting to diaries as often as I would like. But I am going to hang around and keep myself accountable in maintenance.

I still can't believe I have acheived this all in 8mths. AMAZING.....Thankyou Dr Cohen

Default Congratulations!!

Hi Jenny,

All I can say is wow..58kg in 8 months!!

I am so very proud of you. You are such an inspiration to your cohen friends, and to your family and friends too..

What a journey..8 months.. but it's probably more about what you have learnt about yourself along the way that is important.

You know now that you can do absolutely anything you want, you just put your mind to it...and do it!

Hope to be down your way some time later this year..can't wait to see you. (I'm hanging out to see the new hairdo too.)

Thinking of you heaps, Anne

(shhh.. don't tell Aunty Rosemary... but when she loses another 10 kg she is going to be close to my current weight - she has me running scared now!!! I can't remember her weighing less than me for a very long time...probably since we were kids)
