I found senna tea worked for me. I had a cup on night, proberly to many leaves in it as early the next morning I had stomach cramps.Anyway it worked, I think it cleaned out every corner of my bowel !!!! As sassy said maybe mixed with normal tea in a pot would keep things regular. Seems we dont have as many BM as previous as we are consuming smaller amounts of food and our body hasnt as much excess to eliminate !!

Woolworths stoks a tea in their tea section called "Senna Leaves" "Green Tea" - its caffeine free and has 20 tea bags in the box - It is imported and made in Perth - by LIMTECH.

One tea bag in hot water for 15 - 20 minutes and it works very well the next morning - I then used to just leave the tea bag in with a cup tea one usually at night.

Default From the Brisbane Clinic's August Newsletter

Howdy

I thought I'd post this here for our edification. It's from the Brisbane Cohen's Clinic latest newsletter.

CONSTIPATION

Bowel movements of only twice a week while on the Eating Plan is
quite acceptable and should not be considered as constipation (your
intake is lower and your body is using reserves to become slim and
healthy again!) However, if you have feeling uncomfortable and
experiencing discomfort then that is constipation.

Are you:
Having an apple a day (for fibre content); and drinking at least 2 litres
of water a day?

If yes, and you are still constipated:
You may take a natural herbal laxative such as Senakot, Adulax, Regu-
lets or Black Forest Tea.
If still not responding:
- Digestive Bran 3 tablespoons per day, sprinkle on food
- Herbal Teas, from a health food shop or Chinese grocer
- Omega 3, fish oil capsules
- Take Metamucil 2TBSP a day for 3 days, and on day 4, take 2
Senakot (Repeat cycle)
- You may use Duphalac, Linseed or Psyllium Husks, Movicol, Fibogel,
Normocal, Senecot, Coloxyl with Senna or Durolax.

Red face Opposite

Hi Guys, I have the opposite. Is there something i am doing wrong? I m only on day 6 and without sounding to disgusting, When i go it is basically like passing yellow water. I have lost 6kg already on week one and as much as i feel great, I am concerned as to whether i am doing something wrong.

Just found this, Veronica, and I hope it's cleared up by now. You're not the only one with the opposite problem, I suspect that all the water you are drinking may have something to do with it, but keep drinking it. Have a talk with your consultant if you are still having problems.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

It seems i haven't had a BM in over a week, to the point i cannot remember the last time i did. Is this bad?
I feel ok so i'm not sure if i should be worried?
Any opinions would be appreciated

Talking

Hi Veronica,
I found that my bowel motions were extremely loose when I was detoxing. To keep bowels regular I eat 160g of kiwi a day with the skin and the seeds. This seems to work fantastically.
Good luck

Hi,

I would not really be concerned in the first week as it is probably a detox thing, if you are worried give your clinic a call. If it persists more than a week I would talk to your doctor about it.

If at any time it is explosive and you cannot get to the toilet etc, I would follow it up, but if it is just that your motions are loose - it's detox I bet.

Hi Sweet

Just make sure you keep up the water though. Perhaps even a little more, as diarrhea will deplete you in precious H20

Hi,
Yes, your bladder does get used to all the extra water.
I have at least 1 litre of water in the morning before I go to work & I still try to get the majority of my water in before the afternoon, I also stop drinking it at 4.30-5pm ish so I am not up all night either.
