Default Why is garlic in a jar not allowed?

I have a jar of Jensen's organic crushed garlic. It has 90% organic garlic and the only other ingredient is vinegar.

I'm wondering why this is not allowed? (just curious)

Possibly because the weight would be different, but the moral around here is don't question, just accept - it is easier that way!

I used to use jar garlic - now I wouldn't dream of it - love the fresh stuff now!!!

Hi Oztish. I also have a few questions around some foods, like pickles in a jar - but as "Jlou" pointed out, don't question, just accept. If it is not in our Cohens book, then we simply don't have it. The results will speak for themselves. Good luck on your journey.

because it is not fresh and the weight is more difficult to judge and it has something added which affects allowances ( vineagar)
and -Because if it is not expressly permitted, it is forbidden
cheers

OK thanks... I don't have a garlic press. Last time I had one, I couldn't ever use the damn thing - I tried about 15 times and never once got garlic out of the clove...will have to give the garlic a miss then.
