Thumbs up cheesy cabbage rolls

cheesy cabbage rolls


Recipe Description
An easy and fast lunch,to take to work 
Ingredients:
Mozzarella
Cabbage
Tomato
salt and pepper or chilli powder to taste
All allowance 
Preparation Steps:
Peel the layers of the cabbage, into individual pcs so that you can wrap your cheese and tomato in them. 
Level of Difficulty:
Easy 
Time Needed:
5 mins(excluding weighing time) 
Serves:
depends on your allowance of veg. 
Instructions:
.Blanch or microwave the cabbage layers ,just long enough such that they are still crunchy .
Drain them out on papertowels.
Cut tomato into thin slices.
Dice your cheese , if you use shredded mozz then you save a step
Take a cabbage wrap, place a slice of tomato and a ball of cheese and roll it up.
Arrange your rolls neatly it on a tray, cover and refrigerate,
Heat them up for a few sec before eating.Garnish with pepper and salt
and serve them hot

Just thought I ought to remind you, sangi, we're not allowed pre grated cheese. They add cornflour or something to keep the bits separate.

i checked with my clinic on this, they said it was ok as low fat mozzarella is only available in grated versions.

just checked with my clinic now, they said low fat mozz, grated version is fine, and the cheese does clump up, so apparently no flour has been added.

The ingredient list MUST say cheese 100% .. if it says anti-caking agent that is either rice flour or cornstarch

In Australia we cannot have pre-grated mozzarella.

the cheese i use is Emborg Mozzarella light,
the ingredients are:
Pasteurized cow's milk,salt,starter culture,microbial rennet.product of denmark

Anyway, you can use the cheese you normally eat for the recipe.
