Default Biggest Loser - USA

The Biggest Loser America is back on tv tonight (Melbourne time) Ch10 @ 8.30pm - 10.30pm, every Friday. I love watching both versions (Aussie and American). Are there any other BL fans?

Hi - I love Biggest Loser - last night was great - I felt so sorry for the 6 that didn't get picked and was thinking how @#% mean of them to do that and then along come Jillian and starts up a black team - training in the desert - they will be awesome. I absolutely adore Bob and was so happy his team won - how cool is Grandad - 62 yrs old and 31 lbs lost in one week - a record - proves age is a state of mind. I'm glad we can lose it with that hard strenuous exercise they have to do!

Felt sorry for Amber, I hope she really gives it a good go for the finale. I was soooo excited when Jillian turned up and formed the Black Team. Silly whingers though, haven't they seen any previous shows, don't they know her style? She says how she trains before hand and yet they still complain to the camera! Very awesome for 62 year old Gerry, 31lbs in the first week and the chick on the red team saying he didn't have chance!!! She had to eat her words!!!

Yes I love both versions also (US and Aussie), great they are mixing it up this year with the Black Team, a bit like our commando from the Aussie season this year. Think it is great the trainers are at the weigh in's now, it makes it more emotional or something.
On the 62 year old, what an effort Big Wal would have been proud. Love BL, just another form of motivation for us.

yes i love BL my all time fav from the U.S. is Matt Hoover I love that guy some how he just does it for me ( don't tell my hubby) i think him and Suzi make a great couple. My Aussie fav is Adro he is just to cute good to see that he has kept the weight off. I have met Cat White now doing slimming shake ads and she is lovely even though she was doing promo stuff she still spoke to me and my sis in law for about 30 mins before we moved on as she just kept talking to us, she was surprised we drove 130km each way to come and see her but it was well worth it i got her autograph and even give us free cook books that they were selling for $9 each. The one i cant stand is munnalita i could have reached through the screen to strangle her. I have also met Damien alias DR ELEPHANT and he is just brilliant they came up to Mackay for one show and stayed nearly 2 months to packed out pubs every night the best live pub band ive ever seen. jacin

Jacin you are not the only one who loved Matt, he was definitely a hottie!! He and Suzi do make a great couple and very inspirational as well, they have kept it off although they both put some back on but they acted quickly to get it back off. I loved Damien as well and was blown away with his singing voice. Loved Adro as well, he was my pick to win. love Big Wal even though he thought he "was all that".I didn't mind Munnalita although her lip gloss got on my nerves a bit. I would love them to do an update on all the past BL contestants too see who has kept it off. I am a bit of a reality tv queen all round but especially love Biggest Loser (go figure)!

Hey mummabear they had a catch upshow on tv the other night at midnight about who has kept the weight off but it was all yanks and they only had a handful of previous contestants like Wylie, Pete and a couple of others like at home contestants like Poppy. All had kept the weight off but not like they were gonna put the fatties back on are they that would ruin the image and the motivation of home viewers. i see Suzi was a bit chubby now that her and matt are parents of baby Rex i think they will find it hard to keep up their training schedules now that they are tired. I see Pete still trains about 6 hrs a day 4 days a week. how long can he keep that up for i see he wears knee supports when training so his knees are already on their way out give it another 2-3 years and hes up for an op i bet ya then see where his weight goes. jacin

Hehehe, it's results like that, that makes me think that Cohens is definitely the way to go. See all that training just wears the body out. Those 6 hrs per day could be better spent having fun with the family rather than slogging it out and getting sore in the joints.

Seeing that show reminds me of how lucky i am to have found Cohen's. Being a fan of the biggest Losser I have watched the show and while watching always thought i am going to have to start going to the gym etc, but that day never came. I got to the stage earlier this year that I applied to go on the show for next year, but seeing how hard they slog for their results am glad that I did not get in as I can see that it doesn't change your mindset too drastically. I think that it would be great if they did do a special on all of the previous contestants as it would be great to see who had the power to keep the weight off, and see if their skin ever tonned up.

So thank God for Cohen's, for "easy" weight loss changing my mindset and my life. I am so glad that so far I haven't had much baggy skin where I have lost the weight, my skin is quite firm so that is another thing to be thankful of

I agree with you Sezi and i think we might get a shock if we saw the majority of them now. Lets face it, Adro is a spokesperson for Subway so thats gonna keep him slim as he gets paid for it! The others, disappeared! Pandora

Yeah, totally agree. Exercising should be a fun relaxing thing, and not made for weight loss. For the BLs it's all fine, but most of them pile it all back on, let's face it, nobody can live a life of 5 hours exercise a day.

I'd rather not run for 15 mins and also not eat that slice of toast.

Having got that into my head, I now enjoy my runs for what they are, toning, endurance, cardio fitness, relaxation, stress relief, getting a nice tan, chilling out. I am also doing some weight, as I do enjoy to build up muscles, and in particular that fact that you can now see them.

Cohens is the best. Whenever I see an overweight person exercising, I feel like dragging them into a Cohens Clinic, get them sorted out, and then get back toe exercising.

Fiona joined Jenny Craig earlier this year because she had put the weight back on, I don't think all but most. She's now looking better but BL didn't really teach her much about food, just how to exercise for many hours per day which realisticly the average person cannot do with all the other commitments in one's life plus making sure we still get our *beauty sleep* in.

Love watching BL, it is amazing to see the change in people. That 62 yo who lost the 31lbs, and the little woman who lost over 20lbs, now that is crazy!
I do agree though that it isn't a realistic way to lose weight for most of us. I work from home, and do have quite a lot of free time during the day, but I don't want to spend 5-6 hours of it excercising, and most people couldn't even if they did want to.
It is definately more about learning what to eat, and learning what you can and can't eat, how your body processes foods etc, which is why I think Cohen's is great. Excercise is important though, for other reasons than losing weight.
I'm not doing to much of it now, but still keeping up my daily walks with my dogs. Not very strenuous, but good or the soul I think.

Bye bye Lezley! She really didn't want to stay and she's done really well since she's been gone. She should look fab at the finale. It's a shame the show doesn't include measurements around the body because even though for some the scale didn't move much, I reckon a few of them lost many cm's. Amy misses her daughter and Kim was really hard on her. Lucky for Amy Bob was around to give her a pep up. He's really good at that! He's a sweetheart!
