Default The Big "I Never Cook" Person actually has some Recipes??

Howdy all,
Yes me, the non-cook, anti-kitchen queen has created some stuff that was actually quite yum! Go figure?

Here goes........

COHEN'S SAVOURY MINCE

Last night I made a savoury mince number.
I fried some onion & fresh garlic & mince allowance till browned then added some curry powder ( to your taste )
Then I added some finely chopped zucchini, squash & mushroom.( all allowance quantities )
Once they had softened & cooked mostly I added a splash or two of boiled water until it was a little wet.
Crikey it was tasty. Have it with your 2 crackers! Scrummo!

The other one is my version of:

CREAMY GARLIC CHICKEN AL FUNGHI

Dice up your chicken allowance & fry with heaps of fresh & powdered garlic & sliced onions too.
Use your entire veg allowance on mushrooms. I remove the stems & peel them & get heaps more to use!
Throw them in & cook until softened.
At the end mix your mayo allowance with a little boiled water then add to pan & stir through, not too long though, needs to be a bit saucey!!
Have with your crackers! Frick'n yummo!

And last but not least, I make a tasty:

CLAYTON'S ( well Cohen's really ) PIZZA

I finely chop up mushroom & onion & half a tomato & fry them up with galic powder & basil ( add the tomato's last, don't want them too mushy )
Once done pile on top of two crackers & smother in your grated moz cheese allowance ( put a little salt & pepper on before the cheese too )
Then grill in the oven until cheese browns & goes crispy on the edges!
Another delicious invention!

Hope you try & like these, I sure do!

Cya lovely's from Sharlene xo

Drex, I used to make a similar savoury mince but instead of water I would add a splash of sprite zero to give it that sweetness to go with the tang of the curry. Very yummo.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Ok, here's ANOTHER one I made tonight!

COHEN'S STYLE BEEF STROG

In one pot I diced up half a tomato, fresh garlic, pepper, salt & a splash or 2 of diet lemonade. Let it go mushy then add a liitle more water to keep it saucy. Add teaspoon of mayo right at end before adding to meat.
Meanwhile I fried my steak that I'd cut into strips, with more garlic powder, sliced onions & mushrooms. ( I remove stems & skin & get more! )
Once they were cooked I added in the contents from the other pot & simmered for a short time.

Had with crackers & it wasn't half bad if I do say so myself!

Hope you enjoy?

Cya from me xo

What brand of mayo do you use Sharlene? I have been using the WW caesar salad one but I don't think it is Cohen friendly (after checking the label) .. I need to buy another one..

Can't wait to try out the recipes, especially the Creamy Garlic Chicken Al Funghi!

It's just the Woolworths brand 98% fat free one, but any fat free one would be fine!

OH....MY....GOD!!!

I just had THE most firck'n delicious dinner & just HAD to share!! This is so yummo, I think all the Mums out there should INSIST on having this made for them on Mother's Day!! & perhaps one of ConnieK's apple tarts for dessert!

STEAK & CAULI MASH WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE

Ok,
Use most of your veg allowance as cauliflower, you need part of it for 1 mushroom ( de-stalked & peeled ) ,
a small amount of onion, & 1 clove of garlic ( for the sauce )
This is actually Babytime's recipe for Chicken Schnitzel & Curried No-tatoes, but I just used the cauli mash with my steak instead.

Depending how you like your steak, start cooking first or during the cauly mash process. ( I'm sure it would be good with chicken also? )

Boil up the cauli with some salt in the water if you like. Once soft remove & put in a 'stick blender proof' bowl along with 2 tablespoons of the cauli water. Add a pinch of curry powder & mayo allowance & blend with the stick blender. I kept in microwave once done & nuked it just before serving.

Once your steak is done in the frypan, remove & plate. Now add some water to the pan on a low heat, crushed garlic clove, salt & pepper, finely chopped onion & mushroom & one small square of a very smashed salada. Add other herbs or spices to taste if you like. Keep adding water until it's the consistancy of gravy.
Once done pour over steak & serve with cauli mash. Eat remainder salada's on side.

Crikey all mighty it was so scrummo, I'm lost for words! Thank you Babytime for the great cauli mash recipe!

Please try & let me know what you think?

Enjoy!!
