Just a few questions...
i just wanted to know, with the allowance of fruit can you eat a variety of fruit but as long as it measures up.. eg. if your allowance is 2 can you have 1/2 apple 1/2 orange 1/2 kiwi 1/2 peach ?? also after the 4 weeks does your plan change? food portions change? new food added? |

Hey Polka Dots
Yes you can have a mix of fruit - as long as it totals your allowance. Theres no probs with making a fruit salad with say half a portion of kiwi, half a portion of honey dew, half an apple and half an orange. Just remember that you cant have more than one piece (portion of fruit at a time). In answer to your other question - no, your plan doesnt change. Hope this helps, Nat xx |

Hey polka-dots
Nope only one fruit at a time ... so if you made your fruit salad with all 1/2 fruits you would then weigh it and divide in half ... 2 serves of fruit. It is also a good idea to space the fruit out and not eat really close together. Connie

Great question polka_dots.
I have been wondering the same thing, because I have been weighing up 1/2 my mango and 1/2 my paw paw serve and having it with my yogurt in the mornings and I wasn't sure if this was allowed or not... I am guessing now it is which is great because it tastes fantastic! |

Serve of fruit is approximately 1 cup of fruit or no more than the weight on your plan/shopping list - I learnt the hard way by eating bigger than 150 g of mango per serve - my weight loss stopped almost completely.
However was told by the clinic that a medium apple was better than a smaller apple - and the same with all fruit as the concentration of sugar was the same per piece of fruit - so the medium size was the way to go. Also in the first part of your plan don't forget the 2.5 hr rule between things.......will have to find my book again to be exact on that but read your plan and follow it to the letter. Andy

that sounds like the way to go - i always made sure i had breakfast at 7 to 7.30 - fruit and cracker at 1030 and lunch at 1.30 then tea at 6 .30 with last fruit and cracker by 9.30
Read your plan - and it will tell you how many weeks you have to be spot on and re the crackers and fruit but the main thing is then the 5 hrs between meals to let your food be digested properly. Andy

OK
it's 2.5 hours between crackers. Its 5 hours (minimum) between meals , you can have crispbreads between these .. at any time as long as there is 2.5hours between each lot of crispbreads. Fruit is best spaced apart ... the clinic says there is no hard and fast rule with fruit, but it is advisable to leave around 2.5 hours between fruits. You can eat fruit and crispbread together, and you can eat these with meals. Connie

Fruit and Crispbreads may be eaten at any time with meals or between meals You must not have more than your allowance at a time. You must then wait 2.5 hours before having more fruit or crispbreads and for the forst ten days you must have them.
You must leave five hours between your meals. This is important so that you are not mixing your proteins and your body is digesting them properly and your metabolism is also at a low level. It takes a little planning in the first few weeks and means a change in your lifestyle and routines and maybe life long habits ---- but it works --- so you must do it %100% to your plan - read your plan and highlight the pieces like this that are important to follow. It soon falls into place and the weight falls off !!!! %100% Andy
