New Year challenge: lose 10kg in 6 weeks
I've been eagerly waiting for a new year weight loss challenge and realised that I shouldn't sit around expecting someone else to do it for me! So here we go...!! I am sure that for many of us 2010 is the year we want to achieve our Cohens goals and achieve our new healthy bodies. There may be some people out there who like me, fell off the wagon at the end of last year and need to climb back on, crack that whip and get moving. What better way than starting off the new year with a 10kg loss and within the first two months! To be honest, I did more than fall off the wagon. I fell off and then chased the horses back the way they came!! I've sometimes felt too embarrassed to participate in this forum as I have had trouble sticking to my plan and maintaining my results - the number of times I've had to update my ticker in the wrong direction is disgusting. Running this challenge will be a fantastic way to motivate me and keep me deviation free Let's make the weigh in dates as follows: Start weight: 4/1/10 Week 1 weigh in: 11/1/10 Week 2 weigh in: 18/1/10 Week 3 weigh in: 25/1/10 Week 4 weigh in: 1/2/10 Week 5 weigh in: 8/1/10 Week 6 weigh in: 15/1/10 For those of you that weigh in on days other than Monday, just start the challenge on that day this week and report your results on your weigh in day. We can wait until the end of week 6 to report all the results and congratulate each other Ok, here's the template.... miss_nat - start weight: 68.5kg Goal: 58.5kg Rewards: 58.5kg is the top of my goal range, so I will reward myself with a new hairstyle (cut and digital perm) to go with my new body Alright guys, I'm looking forward to this... let's get in to it! Cheers, miss_nat

Re: New Year challenge: lose 10kg in 6 weeks
Welcome lil_doll and Belnatjas - thanks for joining!
Yep, lil_doll just run your week from thurs to thurs, so use this thursday's weight as the start weight and report in weekly from there.. I figure everyone has different weigh in days, so just work it to suit you. I'll just post my results on a Monday and collect everyone elses through the week. Belnatjas - what's your start date/weight? There's a template in my original post to use. Remember to include your rewards - the best part!! Cheers, miss_nat

Re: New Year challenge: lose 10kg in 6 weeks
Hi Girls,
How are we all today? Cobie_lee and Lil_doll, I know it was your weigh in day today - hope it went well. Send through your start weight details, goals and rewards when you get a chance. Belnatjas, can you send yours through too? I just have to say that I love the first week loss. Its been three days and I've lost 1.8kg! My consultant would say I'm naughty to sneak in a mid-week weigh but I can't help myself! Had to update my ticker too - just too excited To anyone reading this that interested in joining in, it's not too late. Take your start weight from this week's weigh in (whenever that is) and report weekly from there. We're all weighing in and reporting results on different days. Here's to a big week 1 loss for all Cheers, miss_nat

Re: New Year challenge: lose 10kg in 6 weeks
Hi everyone
I am hoping it is not too late to join this group. Having a challenge is great and I would love to be part of it Thanks for organising Miss Nat. So here goes Start weight: 4/1/10: I will use 1/1 which is when I weighed in 102.5 Goal Weight - I am aiming for higher than 10kgs as I want to be in the 80's within 6 weeks, so I am going to target 88 which is also a big milestone as it will be 60kg loss in total. Reward: Hmmmm perhaps a date night with hubby and a new haircut Lets all get there. Should be easy enough if we have all jumped back on the wagon

Re: New Year challenge: lose 10kg in 6 weeks
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.

I hope you can reschedule and visit Paris later this year... in a little black dress with big, dark sunglasses a la breakfast at tiffany's!!! Hot stuff! Hehe, we all have days like that lil_doll! That's awesome that you'll potentially be at refeed at the end of this challenge, that's less than 10 weeks away - how exciting! I'll be in the top of my goal range at the end of this challenge too, so we might hit refeed together. That's not the only thing we have in common... my BMI hit 24.8 this week as well, so am also celebrating being in the "normal" range! Oh and cheers for the compliment Ok, on to the challenge... week one down and in to week two! Woo-hoo! Hello everyone.
Miss nat, you're a scream and i can tell will be a wonderful motivator for us all (and congrats on the change of bmi status!) My goal for this challenge is 10 kilos of course, but i still have to get down to 54kg (never been less than 64), so still a long way to go, but i will get there. week 1: 79.4 (-1.0 kg) |
