Online newbie from the UK

Hi Everyone,

Well I have been having a nosey on the threads and have done a lot of research on the Cohen plan. I live in the UK so will be an online client and hope this will be the last ever plan I will go on
I am having my blood test tomorrow so hope to start some time next week.
I have a long way to go (will put a ticker on here next week after my official 1st weigh in) but hope it is rapid.

Just interested, being from UK originally, is there much publicity or media around Cohens over there? How did you hear about it?

Thanks for my welcome.

Well I had my blood test today so just need to wait for the results now and to get the plan. Can't wait to be honest.

FF - I have not seen any publicity or media re Cohens over here. I think the closest plan is Sureslim but I have heard mixed reports about it. A friend of mine told me about it as her sister is in NZ and they are both on the plan and are doing really well. Hope thats me reporting that soon!!

What a couple of weeks it has been!

Had my blood test results and it showed up liver abnormalities so had to be referred back to my GP and they suggested further tests. Even though the results were pretty much the same, my GP is behind me wanting to lose weight (especially as I have a long way to go!). I will be monitored on a regular basis due to my results but Im so relieved to be given the go ahead at long last to start the programme.

So I received my programme today, going shopping tomorrow and getting organised and starting on Wednesday.

Im so relieved I can start and try to sort out my health whilst losing weight.

I'm reading "The amazing adventures of dietgirl" at the moment. Have you read that book? By Shauna Reid.. she's an aussie who lived (perhaps still does) in Edinburgh and lost a lot of weight and wrote a book about it. Its an easy fun read if you ever come across it. I lived there myself for a bit many moons ago. Such a beautiful place. It must be positively balmy there at the moment

Best of luck with your new journey. I too hope for you that it will be your last stop. I think there is a great chance of that.

Im guessing you are Fiona's friend???!!!

Welcome anyway to the forum! It is a great way to get support. I have to admit, I struggled the last week or so and I hadnt been using the forum. Keeps you motivated and focussed. But the weight is still dropping which is good and it has been the easiest plan I have been on.
Good luck and Im sure the liver will improve as the pounds drop off!

I also had mild liver abnormalities when I signed up but within 6 weeks all was back to normal.

Edinburgh is lovely but the weather is a nightmare as its been raining every day and getting colder So much for being summer here!
