FRST I'LL LIKE TO SAY WELL DONE TO U ALL FOR CHANGING UR LIVES TO BE HEALTHY N HAPPY....I'VE HUGE RESPECT FOR ANY1 WHO WANTS TO BE IN CONTROL ABT THEIR OWN BODIES...AS MANY OF U HERE, 'VE GOT WEIGHT PROBS AND BEEN TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT FOR THE LAST 7 YRS.. I'VE GOT A DOUGHTER WHO'S 18 MNTHS OLD AND THIS IS THE REASON I WANNA LOSE WEIGHT N BE HEALTHY COS I WANA SET A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR MY DOUGHTER......

'VE BEEN ON THE CAMBRIDGE DIET LOST BIT OF WEGHT BUT ITS VERY DFCLT AS I CANT EAT NO FOOD N THAT DRVED ME TO FOOOOOOOOD MORE...I WAS SEARCHING THE NET LAST NTE AND CME ACCROSS WHAT SOUNDS VERY PROMISING N THATS THE (COHEN)... I REGISTERD AND IM WATING FOR THE EMAIL WHICH 'VE BEEN CHECKING EVERY 1 FOR THE LAST 20 HRS THAT SHOWS ME HOW DETERMINED IM....

SO, I'LL LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE'S ANY1 IN THE UK WHO'S ON THIS DIET COS MOST OF THE POST I READ SO FAR R FRM AUSTRALIA AND AMERICA.....ALSO HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE PAYMENTS,BLOOD TEST AND THE PROG TO START AND ALSO DO WE BUY OUR OWN FOOD AND COOK OR THERE R READY MEALS WE HAVE TO BUY.........

Hi WannaBSlim,

Good for you for taking the plunge. I'm sure your daughter will be gobsmacked in years to come when you get to share your story with her. Make sure you take photos as they really record the progress (and daughter will probably not remember "the old you" once she gets used to her new slim-line Mum).

This forum is Australia-based, so there may be a few problems with "translating" brand names, and perhaps other problems. Still, we are all people, so at the very least, I'm sure you can look forward to the "family feel" of this forum. We do endeavour to encourage others in what can be a very emotional journey. So welcome aboard.

May I ask though, please turn off the "Caps Lock" key. I found your post difficult to read, being all in "upper-case" (and I presume others find it the same too). Also, on the Internet, all upper-case is taken as SHOUTING - and I'm sure you don't want to shout at us - not yet, anyway...

Save the Capitals for "special effect" (e.g. " WOW !! You are doing GREAT!!") Have a look around, Slim, and you'll get the idea pretty quickly.

Its fantastic to have you here and Congratulations on signing up for the best weigh loss program ever!! (or so I think so!)

Most of us on here have tried most of the other diets out there but the reason we are here is because none of those other diets worked physically and changed our thinking the way Cohens has.

If you follow the Cohens program 100%, you will find that you wont be hungry, you wont crave, you will have energy and it will change your thinking so that you will succeed when you finish and are back on your own, instead of putting the weigh back on like so many of us have on other programs.

There is no special food you have to buy, its all just fresh, good, simple, wholesome food that fills you up. Some say the food is bland but I think that we are not here for a culinary experience but are here to lose weight. Our food at the moment is our medicine for a health condition that can be debilitating and shorten our lives. If you take your "medicine", you will get results!!

I'm not sure about the internet plan and how long it takes to get your program - others may be able to answer that question for you though.

Good luck, keep posting and keeping us up to date and we will all be here for you - no matter if you're top of the world and want to share your achievements or if you're down and having problems - we all go through it and we support each other.

Hi WanabSlim4DoughtersBDay, when you get all your info, I hope you keep us updated with your progress too. I'm also 170cm and before Cohen's, started with Weight Watchers @ 109kg. Found too many easy ways to incorporate the wrong foods into their points system so the weight started to creep back on. Then I found Cohens I'm now at the end of my fourth week and I'm loving that I have to wear the next size down already I too have an 18 month old, but a boy. I've also got a three year old miss - she's a real live wire, never stops or shuts up, lol She certainly keeps hubby and I on our toes. Thankfully our little guy is a quiet, gentle little fellow I've set my ticker and goal weight to 64kg and I'll see how I look if I want to get further down to 60kg when I get there. When's your little one's 2nd B'day? My little guy was born the day before our National Day - 25 Jan.

Hehe - yeah, well, you've come to the right place !!

Now that you're "officially" here, why not start a Diary thread (where you log your progress - day by day if you wish). Go to "Personal Diaries" and say what you want to start it off. Have a look at some others to get an idea of what people share in the diaries.

Of course the diary is all about you and your Cohens path - but if you have other specific questions, then other parts of the forum may be more suitable. You can ask questions in your diary too, of course, but they can sometimes "get lost" in there. So, for example, a question about the food might be better asked in the "first personal diet" forum. And there is a forum just for photos if you wish to post them, etc.

Anyway, just have a good look around, kick off a diary just for you, and ENJOY the people and the advice on here,

I am from the US and we have to do the internet thing.
It took 2 days to get a response that we were excepted after we paid in. Then they asked for the blood work. Since we live in a small town and hubby's brother is head of the hospital lab we were able to get our blood work done and the results in a hour.
So I emailed Cohen that. I emailed it to them on a Friday and i had my plan by the following Tuesday. They say it can take up to 5 business days for a response. But it didn't for us. If you don't hear from them in the 5 days then I would email them again Make sure you put your customer # on all your emails. I always just hit reply so I didn't have to worry about the number.

G'day mate - you UK people have more Ozzies over there than here I reckon - we were over your way last year for a few months and all the stuff we have here is in your Tesco shops - except your beef - too dear to eat like us - but your chicken and fish is cheap. Everyone here will give you lots of support so ask away and someone will check it out for you. I do all mine over the Internet - no clinic weigh in etc. - I have a consultant that lives 1000 ks to my east - so it won't matter where you get your program from - blood tests as Pudge our US of A friend said - get the test done with the blood screenings that Cohens want and send them by email to an online cohens -
