New Kid on the Block!
End of week 1 today and have to agree with other users...quite manageable. Had terrible, awful, foul leg cramps on days 3, 4 and 5 but got onto some magnesium supplements and slowed down a bit and feeling fine now. Actually struggling to stuff my fruit and crispbread down! Only thing I'm missing is seasonings...like soy sauce or sweet chilli but so far so good. Had a huge cook up on the weekend for husband and kids (3 under 7) and did a big weigh-up of meat etc so it's all good. Would love to hear from any others just starting out like me....dying to weigh myself and I know they say don't weigh until week 4 but I am going to have to sneak tomorrow! |

Re: New Kid on the Block!
most people cant resist the week one weigh in and thats fine, just remember that the program is based on a monthly cycle with variations and fluctuations that come with that. soooo, if you think it might be upsetting to see increases or no decreases after your week one weigh ( which may well pleasantly surprise you) try to avoid the scales as much as possible
apart from that, there is a wealth of info and support here cheers mark

Re: New Kid on the Block!
Hi
The scale thing is really tricky and I think it all depends on what sort of person you are. When I started out I weighed everyday and when my weight went up on a random day I freaked out and was miserable. I vowed not to weigh everyday but being the control nut I am, I couldn't stick to that so went back to weighing everyday. Now a couple of months into it, I know my cycle pretty well and can almost predict what's on the scale by what day of the month it is or how my body is feeling. You need to do what suits you. The rest of the programme is designed individually for you so why not this. Good luck. |

Re: New Kid on the Block!
Hi Kirst,
How did the weighing go? I'm one week behind you, and had actually weighed myself several times last week, sometimes several times a day! Talk about OCD. LOL. Nawhhh, not really obsessed but just excited with my recent purchase of Tanita weighing machine. Promotion on Tanita scales at a shop near my office on my 1st week of Cohen... is that a sign or what! I love my fruit & cracker allowance.. I wish I can eat more of it. 3rd & 4th day was the hardest. Gotten soo hungry even after an apple, had to resort to gulping down the H20s to trick my body... and then gazillionth trips to the loo afterr! Look forward to read on your progress. Keep us posted! xox Kuki |
