Welcome Graeme!

A few quick suggestions:
- eat every two hours if you are hungry (for example, I have b/fast at 7.30/8AM, fruit and CBs at 10.30, lunch at 1pm, second fruit+CBs around 3.30, dinner around 6PM)
- are you sure you are REALLY hungry or maybe more peckish than hungry?
- do you take chromium tablets?
- do you drink h2o, tea, soft drinks?

You have done so well so far! Keep it up!

Hi Kenga & Mcpsyca,

I hope this is how you reply? Thank you for your replies and here are the answers to your questions. Not taking Chromium tables, taking all tablets recommened plus flaxseed oil (omega 3,6,9)

Eating times -
7/7.30am Breakfast
10am Fruit
12.30pm Lunch
3pm Fruit
5.30/6pm Dinner

Drinking 3ltrs water (though the day)
approx 1.5ltrs mineral water (at night)
2x cups black coffee (1x morning 1x night)
2x cups black/green tea (1x morning tea 1x afternoon tea)

No excerise but want to after lose a bit more weight, but scared it will make me hungry. I have a bad foot so need to be a bit lighter, so its not so hard on my foot.
Also probally more peckish though the day just at night it seems to be the worst time.

Hi Graeme,

What fruit are you eating?
I found apples made me more hungry......

When are you eating your crackers?

yep, exercise will make you hungry, stay away from it till youve finished the program
chromium will help with cravings
if you are useing your crackers at meals, change to snacks
also try to save some for after dinner
also see if you can use largest meal at time when you are likely to feel more hunger

all these things are aimed at the physical
you may also need to start thinking about the emotional/psychological in relation to your hunger
cheers

Hey Graeme

Here are some tips too just in case you are accidentally doing something wrong (it happens!)

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...711#post265711

I agree re the crackers - have them as snacks not with meals.

Is it after dinner that is the problem? If so, can you stretchthe gap a little between meals earlier in the day so you can have dinner a bit later? Or go to bed earlier? I used to use my crackers between meals and have an apple as my supper

Thanks guys, I will take on board all of your comments and use crackers as snacks and maybe give the chromium tables ago. And yes I think I need to get my head thinking right, it's hard as you would know, when you have done the wrong thing for so long its hard to change. I'm not giving up and thanks for the support it has helped!

Good on you Graeme!

I'm sure you will quickly adjust to the changes you'll make and feel better soon. I really believe that spreading all the food [including fruit and CBs] throughout the day in 2-2.5 hours intervals helps me to stay on track and not go hungry.

BTW - I can't believe you've lost 10 kilos in 2 weeks! Champion! Well done!

[Yes, I think about food a lot as well - that is quite normal, I think ]

Graeme,

Like everyone else I spread my meals out and have the crackers in the middle. I have also found that the softdrink and water are keeping the majority of hunger pains at bay. Stay positive.

HI Graeme,

I noticed you haven't been in for a while - hope you are still doing OK.

How much weight do you have to lose? I am guessing from your big loss in 2 weeks it's quite a lot. It may help to read some diaries of people who have battled your demons before - try Mcpsych's diary.

Now another question - is that a softie in your avatar .... As the resident biker chick I am always interested in an avatar with a bike in it LOL
